I feel restless a few hours later. I don't know what it is about the way I slept, but I still feel jittery like I got no sleep. I groggily sit up and look at the clock— it's 12PM. I only slept for 5 hours.
It's Saturday morning and I had told myself I would start studying when the weekend came around. I look at my desk and see the thin workbook being lonely in its shelf. I throw my blanket off me and get out of bed to grab it.
I huff and flip through the pages with a yawn. I'm feeling tired but I will get nauseous if I stay in my bed any longer.
To pass the time— and not have to study— I open my laptop and go to busily check my email. My business email is absolutely crazy now ever since the viral tweet with Taehyung; the fake viral tweet, if I may so add.
Two companies have shipped me products in order for me to post about them: one being colored eye contacts and the other being an eyeshadow palette.
Hey, they offered me money. So I agreed to it. I also would love to have some colored eye contacts for my trip. Light eyes make for a good, sunny California bound vlog. That reminds me— I really should try to get a new camera.
I push getting a new camera to the side for now as an interesting email has shown up in my inbox. I bite my lip and grab for my glasses. It's an email from someone at Billboard offering me tickets for the BBMAs: both pre-show red carpet and award show.
They must have seen my tweet. How well did the tweet do for them to email this me?
I quickly go to Twitter on my phone and start scrolling around. It takes me less than a second to see how many mentions I have. My tweet has amassed over 345k retweets and 750k likes. What? Why?
On the trending page I see my name. MINE. There is the hashtag #TaeKidnappedJae trending worldwide. There are over 1.1M tweets about it.
"Is this for real?" I cannot hide my confusion as I begin talking to myself.
My DMs are flooded with requests: I have over 10k. I'm feeling overwhelmed with what's going on. This is much bigger than the stupid AU tweet.
On my Timeline I depend on the few BTS fan accounts I follow to tune me in. They do not disappoint as I'm seeing everything going on.
