Part 18

Slowly the ones that survived enter the lab: Steve, the new man with the axe, the raccoon with a gun, the blonde woman, Banner, the man wearing a suit similar to Iron Man's, Shuri, and two Wakandans I saw with T'challa. "So few, is this all that is left to defend Earth?" I say seeing the small group of heroes. I hear a familiar melody playing, I push past the group ignoring their stares. I run to the training room and stop dead I'm my tracks when I see Ari sitting on the bench of our piano playing.

Still round the corner there may wait

A new road or a secret gate,

And though we pass them by today,

Tomorrow we may come this way

And take the hidden paths that run

Toward the Moon or to the Sun.

Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,

Let them go! Let them go!

Sand and stone and pool and dell.

Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,

And there are many paths to tread

Through shadows to the edge of night,

Until the stars are all alight.

Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,

Away shall fade! Away shall fade!

Then world behind and home ahead,

We'll wander back to home and bed.

Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,

And to bed! And then to bed!
