Even though I was hiding my holy and demonic aura, I couldn't help but feel anxious.

What happens if I'm found out? What'll happen to me?

My anxiety took control of my mind, and I was unable to think of positive things. I was a nervous wreck.

"Gabe, are you okay?" Olivia asked me in the carriage.

"If I said yes, would you believe me?" I meant this as a joke to see if my mood would lighten, but my expression showed that I was scared as hell.

I couldn't even smile when I made this comment. Olivia noticed this and started to get worried.

"Maybe you should sit this one out." She suggested. "It's not like the other demon hunters will notice, right?"

"No, they'll definitely notice." Steve joined our conversation. "In fact, the other demon slayers informed me that Gabriel is required to go to the meeting."

Wait, the demon slayers want me at the meeting? Where did that come from?

Did they found out? Are they trying to lure me in to capture me?

I don't know what's happening!

The anxiety kicked in again, and I started to sweat bullets. My face was pale, and it looked like I was about to throw up.

When the others noticed my reaction, they started to get nervous too.

"What do you think they want Gabe for?" Glenn asked.

"Do you really think now was the time to ask that?" Olivia glared at Glenn.

"Look, if those guys figured out Gabe's identity, then we have to prepare for the worse."

Glenn did have a point. If the other demon hunters know about my bloodline, then we should get ready for things to get ugly.

The problem was that we were going into the room with a couple dozen trained fighters, far more experienced and stronger than my team and me. Even if I used my demon side to provide help, it likely wouldn't do much, since I'm still a beginner at it.

"If anyone laid a hand on my king, then I'll kill all of them." Out of nowhere, Kyuu should up from my shadow.

What? You thought that it was just my team and me?

Well, that's what we were going with until Vemon, and the others protested. They told me that it was dangerous to go to a place with other demon hunters.

They provided me with logical reasons why I shouldn't go without reinforcements. So, to avoid any further arguing, I allowed Kyuu to come with me.

Unfortunately, Kyuu wasn't the only one that came along. Following Kyuu was her recon team.

Apparently, Kyuu was the leader of the stealth faction that did recon jobs to scout out the enemy or provide support when needed in the shadows. Since Kyuu was coming with us, she called for reinforcements to join us as well.

I was kind of nervous about this since one of them would likely get caught by the demon hunters, but so far, after entering the city, none of them have been spotted yet. I could feel a little relieved since it's still possible for any of them to get caught so I couldn't help but feel afraid.

Anyway, after entering the city, we rode off to the Grand Hall. The Grand Hall was where the meeting of the demon hunters was going to take place.

Usually, only the demon slayers would go into meetings then relay the message to all demon hunters across the globe. The fact that all available demon hunters had to join this meeting, including us, meant that something was wrong.
