"Will you sing for me, Ara?" David asks.

"Anything for you, David," I smile at him and he gives me his signature semi-toothless grin back. I grab my guitar and turn to Cole.

"What do you feel like singing?" I ask him.

"I don't sing," he flatly replies.

"Come on, Cole, please?" I ask and give him my best puppy dog eyes. Cole stares at me intently before clearing his throat and shaking his head.

"Not now, maybe later," he glances at David and back to me. I sigh.

"Party pooper," I turn and fully face David, "name a song, any song."

I play a variety of songs for David until he decides he wants to interview me some more.

"What did you do this weekend so far?" David asks.

"Um," I can't tell him what actually happened, "I hung out with my friends and my Grandpa came to visit."

"What's your Grandpa's name?" David asks.

"Royce Jenson," I automatically reply and his face lights up again.

"The lead singer of the Hornets?" he asks.

"You know the Hornets?" I ask incredulously and he nods his head quickly.

"I'm named after the bassist, David Mallory," he replies.

"Wow," I say, shocked.

"Can you play one of their songs?" David asks. Singing Grandpa's songs always makes me nervous. I clear my throat and nod my head.

"I know every single one, which one's your favorite?" I ask.

"My shooting star," David automatically answer and I smile.

"Mine too," I glance at Cole and he smiles back at me.

This song is slower than most of the Hornets songs, but it was just as soulful as the rest of their music.

It seems I've been stumbling

Stumbling my whole life

Through the dark

I've been searchin'

For somethin' to hold on to

That I haven't found

Til now

You're the light I've been lookin' for

You're the warmth in my heart

You're the pinprick on the horizon -

The firefly in the dark,

Oh, you are,

My shooting star

You burst into my life

Like the best kind of surprise

A wish, I didn't know I'd get.

I never thought that I would find

Someone who'd be all mine

But you came into my life

And changed my storyline

You're the light I've been lookin' for

You're the warmth in my heart

You're the pinprick on the horizon -

The firefly in the dark,
