Chapter 7- I'm Not Here Really

Erza's POV
When the train reached our stop and we climbed out, Mira ran to the front of the group and yelled,
"Welcome to the sea side city of Pariffel."
At which point Lucy and Levy fell to their knees, clutching one another as they sobbed.
The city of Love.
So this was Mira's newest plan.
With Master, Mira and Laxus leading the way, we walked through the city (which was really quite small, and really pretty) we reached where we were going to be staying in five minutes. It was a huge beach resort. We got to choose who we were going to share a room with (the rooms all had three or four beds).
I took it upon myself to keep an eye on Mira so I was sharing a room with her and Lisanna. Lucy, Levy, Juvia and Wendy took the room opposite ours (Charles was sharing with them too of course).
Next door to them were Laxus, Gajeel and Bickslow. Then next to us were Natsu, Romeo and Gray.
Yeah, Gray and Natsu.
That was going to end well.

Once we'd unpacked, everybody headed downstairs for a slightly late lunch. The hotel dining room had floor to ceiling windows across one wall, and they gave an amazing view of the nearby beach and ocean. As I was staring out I saw somebody sort of.. Suspicious.
Though they were on the beach, they wore a trench coat and scarf so that all you could see of their face was blue hair...
Oh.
With that I was off, pushing past Lucy who yelped in surprise, out the room, down the corridor, past the overly cheerful receptionist, out the front door, through the rose garden. I could see him- he'd left the beach and was walking into the trees on the edge of the resort. After pausing to kick off my flip flops, I was sprinting across the beach with sand in between my toes.
He stopped and turned around just in time to see my flinging myself at him.
"Jellal! You can't be here."
My arms were around his neck as the scarf slipped down from his face to reveal the red tattoo I loved. Jellal was there, he was really there, he was okay. He squeaked and I realised that my hold was a little... Tight. Loosening my grip, I smiled sheepishly and felt a small blush creeping its way onto my face.
"Yeh, I'm not really allowed so uh... Let's say I'm not here really?" I laughed, before releasing him and taking a step back.
"I received word from Mira. She told me to come to this resort and meet her outside room 235."
Really, Mira?
"Oh, ah, that would be our hotel suite."
The idiot just stood there blushing and staring at the ground.
"So how's your fiancee?" I asked, and he looked up with such a panicked expression that I cracked up.
"Yeh it didn't work out." he replied, scratching the back of his head as I tried to gain control of myself.
"Glad to hear it." I spluttered, wiping my eyes and grinning.
Real smooth, Erza.
"Why are you glad that my relationship didn't work out?" he faked hurt, and I bit my lip. How was I meant to answer that?
Kiss him!
No, be sassy!
Play with him!
Confess!
Propose!
Be sarcastic!
Kick him! No wait...
My foot connected with his stomach before I could really register what was happening, and he flew backwards into a tree.
Smooth.

Jellal's POV
"I'm so sorry Jellal! I didn't mean to!" Erza cried, running over to offer me a hand. God she had a good kick. Suddenly, her bare foot caught on a tree root...
Not this again.
Sure enough, Erza went flying into me just as I started standing up meaning that I once again smashed my head against the tree. And the way she landed meant our lips were practically touching and her beautiful scarlet hair was falling in a curtain around our faces. Then I looked down.
Oh.
Her Sherlock t-shirt was possibly a little big and it was hanging down in such a way that I could totally accidentally see the black bikini she was wearing underneath. It was a bikini, no questions about it. It was. Shutting my eyes like the gentleman I was as a blush crept onto my face, I could smell her sweet scent of strawberries and icing sugar- just as it had been that time on the beach.
"Uh, Erza, your shirt..." I hissed, and after the few seconds it took for her to realise what I meant, she squeaked. And punched me.
God I loved how her fist felt, even as I blacked out...

Erza's POV
Maybe I hit him a little too hard. He wasn't opening his eyes. I poked him a few times whilst whispering his name but Jellal was out cold. Awkwardly standing up, I gave him one last kick in the stomach before backing away, praying that he'd forget what he'd just seen. There went our second almost kiss.
