Chapter 27: Broken Seal

Rin's P.O.V

I dropped to the floor and panted. This pathway seems to have no end.. I don't even see light.

"What kind of way did we take?! Does this even have an end?!" whined Akira. She was also exceptionally tired. The little girl though, she seemed like she could walk forever.

"Why did we stop?" she asked.

"We..need a break.."

"What's your name?" asked Akira.

She shrugged, "I forgot my name.."

Akira and I exchanged glances. How does one forget their name without exact memory loss?

"You've been around here, right? Does this have an end?"

She nodded, "You just didn't put the code.."

"What code?" I asked.

She layed her hand straight on a rock wall and numbers started to show up.

"Now we have to..type the code."

"Well, are you gonna do it?"

"I-I don't know the code," she mumbled.

I face-palmed.

Who  knew it would be this hard to fine Akise? 

"Right. Akira go."

"Huh?"

"Break the code!"

"okay, okay.."

She layed her  hands on the wall and started to break the seal.

 "Hurry up!"

"I'm trying my best here."

"Try harder..jeez.."

She rolled her eyes and a few seconds later the seal broke.

But when we entered..you couldn't believe what I saw.

There was a pipe leading to a transparent glass that was globe-shaped. But..tIhere were souls in them. 

"What..is..this?" Akira stuttered in shock.

I couldn't move or do anything. I was completely frozen.

There, I saw Akise. He was doing something with the controls next to the glass.

"AKISE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I cried.

"R-Rin?"

Then emergency lights started lighting up everywhere and they started to beep really loudly.

I looked around in fear. What's happening?

The little girl was no where to be found, either.

Or..Akira.

I started feeling dizzy. Akise was looking at me with regret in his eyes.

" You didn't have to do this."

I looked down.

"I know."

"But i'll let you do it."

I looked back at him.

"Wh-What do you..mean?"

"Kill The Soul Reaper."

My eyes widened, "I can't kill him."

"Yes you can, I'll unleash your powers. And if you set your mind to it you can control them."

I sighed, "Are you sure?"

He nodded. Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching my back.

Akise's eyes were wide open.

I turned around.

The Soul Reaper. Even his looks show he's powerful..

"Are you trying to battle with me?"
