  "are we going out today?" taeyong asked as i washed the dishes.

  i shook my head, "we just went out yesterday for a shopping spree so we should stay in and rest today. Is there anything you want to do?"

  "movie marathon?" he suggested.

  i nodded as i put the last plate onto the drying rack. i wiped my hands dry on the towel and carried taeyong, putting him down from the kitchen table.

  "go pick out a movie and i'll get us some snacks."

  taeyong proceeded to the living room and i took chips and cookies from the cabinet, a large bottle of coke from the fridge and a tub of ice cream from the freezer along with spoons for the ice cream. i placed the food on the coffee table and sat on the couch beside taeyong. a playlist of studio ghibli movies was shown on the television screen.

  taeyong smiled eagerly and grabbed the tub of ice cream and a spoon. pressing the button on the remote, i played the movie and opened a packet of chips. taeyong curled up into a ball and fed himself spoonfuls of the ice cream, keeping his eyes on the television screen.

  "don't finish the ice cream all by yourself," i whined, "feed me some."

   taeyong nodded and scooped another spoonful of the ice cream before attempting to feed it to me. however, his eyes were still glued on the screen and the ice cream got onto my nose instead of into my mouth. taeyong turned his head to see my nose coated with the ice cream and apologised immediately before getting the packet of tissues on the coffee table to help clean my nose. i chuckled as i saw him hurriedly wiping the ice cream off.

  "it's alright," i muttered as i ruffled his hair.

  we continued watching the movie and soon, the tub of ice cream was empty. i passed him a packet of cookies, prompting him to eat more. 

  "i'll get fatter if i eat these," he pouted.

  "even if you got fatter you'd still be the same taeyong i know," i said, "and you're not even fat at all."

  taeyong shrugged and opened the packet of cookies, putting a cookie into his mouth and mine as he rested his head on my shoulders.

  "jaehyun, how long has it been since you actually went to work?" taeyong asked me as we were cleaning up the living room.

  "4 days?" i replied, "why?"

  "shouldn't you go to work? i feel bad for hogging you to myself all the time and you have your duties as the boss too."

  "will it make you feel better if i go back to work tomorrow?"

  he nodded with a smile. i grinned and put my arm around his shoulder as we retreated into our room.

--- next day ---

  "taeyong, i have to go to work now," i whispered into his ears.

  taeyong hummed and tightened his grip on the bolster, not wanting to get up yet. i chuckled at his actions and exited the room, leaving taeyong to continue sleeping.

  before driving to work, i drove by a coffee shop to get myself a cup of coffee. settling down on my seat, i took a sip of the coffee before flipping through the paper works on my table. lunch break came and i stayed in my office, snacking on a sandwich. remembering that i had to deal with juyeon, i took my phone out from my pocket and messaged her.

  i sighed and furrowed my brows, cringing how she called me 'babe'. i searched for taeyong's number and went to update him.

i went to work as promised :D

  i smiled at myself, thinking how cute taeyong was to call gummy bears as 'teddy bear jellies'. i put my phone down on the table and let myself sink into the chair. after work, i'd meet juyeon to make things right.
