Quick note, This story could have trigger warnings for you, so please be advised when reading this.

We are talking a lot about how to prevent rape and sexual violence in general in the first few weeks, which is normal, but it gave me the idea for this.

I know that this is possibly not what it is like at all, and by that I mean almost certainly, but I hope that if anything has ever happened to you that you seek help from whoever you are comfortable with.

You didn't mean for it to happen. It sort of just did, being in the heat of the moment makes everything just so hazy.

Your still unsure of where your body is taking you, your mind having checked out after it happened. Stumbling down the halls would wake everyone you knew, but you weren't in control of your body at the moment. It all seemed so very far away, yet the sight of his door forced you mind to work for at least a moment.

You knock on the door, rather loudly but your movements in general are sloppy. You can hear shuffling in behind the door and faint mumbling before it is suddenly thrown open, and before you stands the one person you know will always protect, your Tyrion.

His face softens when he realizes it is only you, but as he takes in your appearance it becomes confused and shocked. Your hair is a mess of tangles and what remains of gown is shreds, there are so many rips and tears it seems like it should have just fallen off.

"Y/n, what happened?" Tears that you didn't even realize you were holding back begin to stream down your face, your body begging to shake with your sobs. Tyrion gently puts a hand on your back and leads you into his chambers, having you sit on his bed. He sits next to, looking at waiting for you to speak.

"Some guards, th-they were walking down the hall and I was trying to go past them." Your body starts shaking again, and you wrap your arms around your body. "They bumped into me, but got mad and said it was my fault. I had to stop them Tyrion, I had to." You lean down and put your head on his shoulder, tears steaming down your face that you realize probably never stopped, as he rubs small, comforting circles on your back.

"What did you have to do?" His voice is soft and caring, but you can hear the anger in them all the same.

"They, they tried to rape. That's what they were going to do. They were tearing at my gown and one pulled out a small dagger. I had to fight. They wouldn't stop. I started kicking at them and hitting, I think I bit one of them. I don't know what happened, but then they were all on the ground and I just left." You grab onto his shirt, needing to hold onto something. "I think I killed them." You can feel his body tensing.

"You did the right thing. They never should have even thought about touching you."

"But what if I did kill them?"

"Stay here, okay? I am going to run down the hall and get Bronn, alright? He will find them." You nod into his shoulder before sitting up and scooting a bit away from him. You lay down on his bed, curling up into a ball on your side. He rests a hand on your face, gently rubbing your cheek with his thumb, but you can tell he is mad because his other hand is clenched into a fist. "I will be right back."

He walks away quickly, leaving you to your thoughts, which at the moment probably isn't a good thing. You know if you close your eyes you will see it all over again, so that is not going to happen. Yet you can't stop thinking about it. The guilt inside of you just wants to drag you down. You know that what they did was wrong and what you did was self defense, but you can imagine their bodies laying on the ground in front of you right now.

The door opens suddenly and you jump up, scooting to the other side of the bed. When you realize that it is just Tyrion and see the sympathy written all over his face, you can't help but start crying again.

"Oh, y/n," he sighs sadly, closer the door before walking over to the bed. You scoot back over to where you were sitting before he left and he gently grabs your face with his hands. He lifts up your face so you are forced to look into his eyes. "It was not your fault. If they are dead, they deserved it. No one should ever lay a hand on you."

You nod your head as he lets go of your face. You lean into him and put your head on his chest, while he wraps his arms around you, resting his head on top of yours.

"Thank you Tyrion," you say when you have managed to calm down at least a bit. "You always protect me and I hope that you always will."

"Of course I will. But I think it's time you lay down and rest." You shake your quickly.

"When I close my eyes I see them laying on the ground, even just when I blink."

"Remember what you just said? I will always protect you, even when you are sleeping." He pulls the blankets back from his bed and you lay down. He pulls them up for you, making sure you are comfortable.

"Will you stay? At least until I fall asleep?"

"Of course." He blows out the candles that are throughout his chambers before making his way back to the bed sitting up behind you and making sure that you will always be safe.
