Crying

"Class dismissed! Remember to take notes over chapter 5 section 7! Quiz tomorrow!" My teacher said. My hand was on my cheek and if you were standing close, you'd be able to see the small bit of drool running down.

I closed my $500 textbook and stuffed it into my tote. It was 12:30, I should probably head downtown. I got in my car and drove. I was running late, 10 minutes. At a red light I checked my messages.

Jimin: I'm here, where r u?

Me: sorry, running late. Traffic 🙄

Jimin: Oof take your time :)

I smiled. He was nice.

I stepped on the gas and headed to the BBQ place. When I got there, there were barely any cars. It was cozy and small. I entered the door where a bell sounded. I told the waitress that Jimin was here. She lead me, very happily, to a small table with a man wearing a black mask and a denim jacket. I sat in front of him. I set my bag on the floor by my feet as Jimin stared at his phone.

"Jimin?" I asked, waving my hands in front of his face.

"OH! (Y/N)! I didn't even see you! How are you?" Jimin took his mask off and I saw giggles and whispers from the back. He grinned at me.

"I'm good. You?"

"Eh, but now that you're here, I'm sure you'll brighten up my day!" Jimin smiled. It was a cheesy line, yes, but I couldn't help but feel like Jimin genuinely meant it. I crossed my legs and put my arms on the table.

"So, why did you ask me up here?" I asked. "I'm guessing you want something?"

Jimin looked hurt at first and then smiled, "I don't want anything. I just wanted to get to know you I guess. JK is like a little brother to me and I want to get to know his friends better."

That sounds appropriate, "well, hi, my name is (Y/N), I'm (your age from the first chapter), and I love to dance. Music is definitely one of my favorite past times! I went to school with JK so that's how we know each other. You seem like a very nice person so I'm glad he met you."

Jimin grinned, his pearly whites bright in the dim red lights, "I'm glad he met a bright girl like yourself. He really seems to like you!"

"Huh? Oh, I guess. I mean we were like this," I crossed my fingers.

"I suppose you already know about me,"

I nodded, "Park Jimin, the first born in Busan. You practiced ballet for a little bit. That's pretty much all I know though..." I chuckled. "Does it ever bother you that anyone can look up anything about you?"

"Sometimes, but then I remember it's what I signed up for. Plus, it helps my fans to feel closer to me and I love that! My fans are my pride and joy! BTS has the sweetest fan base, I love them!"

"I can tell, you talk about them as if they were your family. I hope they know that."

Jimin shows me a picture of him and a giant crowd of fans. Some with cute shirts and headbands, others with posters and lights sticks. "See! They do!"

"Must be nice."

"Of course at times it gets stressful, but the majority of the time it's pretty great."

"I want to know more about you, Jimin. You know, the stuff I can't find online," I laughed, but Jimin seemed to take it seriously.

"What do you want to know?" Jimin asked, tilting his head to one side.

I thought for a second, and then avoiding my hesitation, I asked, "do you ever date in BTS?"

Jimin grinned, "of course! But don't tell my boss that," Jimin laughed at himself "Tae has tons of girls over all the time! So does RM and J-Hope. Suga is more private. I think right now he has a long distance relationship with someone in America. Jungkook is, well, Jungkook. He's too shy for his own good."

"What about you?" I asked, not thinking of the super awkward situation it would put me in.

Jimin thought for a second, "not really. I don't know what Jungkook told you, but he's probably lying. I'm weird, so no one would want to date me."

"I would." I blurted out while sipping on my drink. I felt my cheeks heat up realizing what I just said. I looked up to see Jimin covering his eyes with his hand, looking off to the side. Was he... blushing too?

"Then why don't you?" Jimin mumbles.

"Huh? What did you say?" I asked genuinely.

"Nothing... anyways, have you dated anyone?"

"Nah man, I'm very weird too. The few 'boyfriends' I've had didn't even last longer than a month."

"Hah, looks like we're both the same, huh?"

I nodded, "What was your high school life like?"

"Eh, really boring, but I got to go to BigHit and audition so that was nice. It led me to my friends now!"

I gazed at Jimin as he talk about happy memories he had with BTS. His face was so happy and genuine. I couldn't help but smile too. He noticed my staring and apologized.

"I'm sorry for blabbering..."

"No no! It's okay. I was enjoying hearing about you guys. Jimin, you're a really kind person!" I said.

***

"You're a really kind person!" (Y/N) said.

Jimin felt the slight tingle of guilt. He bit his lip as he poked at his food. He breathed in and out. He wasn't kind at all, he'd been all this time trying to take over Jungkooks love life, all because he was jealous. He wasn't a friend at all, he wasn't kind, he was selfish and cruel. Jimin could feel a tear rolling down his cheek. He was heading to wipe it off when (Y/N)'s hand was found in the way.

(Y/N) wiped his tear away, her hands soft and gentle. She smiled painfully too, "sorry."

Jimin just stared at her as she got out a handkerchief and dabbed his leaking eyes. The more she tried to clean him up, the more he cried. (Y/N) took him by the shoulder to a door with the words, "family restroom." They went inside while (Y/N) still held Jimin's hand. She squeezed it when Jimin started hiccuping. Jimin sat (on a conventionally placed) chair. He cried and cried and not one time did (Y/N) judge him. When he calmed down (Y/N) used a paper towel to clean his face. She smiled and helped Jimin out of the seat. He stood over her (Let's just pretend that you are shorter than Jimin). She just smiled at him, as if nothing ever happened. She didn't question him, she didn't say any word, and weirdest of all, she didn't leave him. He smiled at her. "Sorry I'm such a crybaby."

(Y/N) held his hand, "you are not! Everyone has those moments, even me! You need to learn that emotions are just a part of life and you can't get rid of them." Even though she wanted to know more about why he had cried, (Y/N) knew better than to ask.

Jimin couldn't help himself, he pulled (Y/N) but the hand and set his hand on her shoulder. He hugged her so tightly that she probably couldn't breath. At first she was hesitant, but then she hugged him back. He sunk his head in her neck and sighed. "I'm sorry I'm so pathetic."
