NATALIE'S POV
I was seriously considering taking a leave but it would hurt my pride because Jacob will most probably think I was not going to work because of him.
Actually I don't think want to go to work because of him.
Luckily, today is a Sunday so I can think properly. And that was when I came up with a genius idea.
I decided to meet her and take her advice. And by "her" I meant May.
**At Reyas**
I couldn't think of any place to meet so I decided to meet at Reyas. After all the food is good.
I saw May get out of the her car and went towards her and gave her a hug.
"It's good to see you, May" I said
"Same here. Let's go inside. "
We went inside. I had already reserved a table for us (didn't take hardwork even though it's a rush hour) so we went and sat there.
"So why have you suddenly called me? " she asked after we ordered our food.
"Uh nothing. I don't need a reason to talk to my friend. Do I? " I said not-so smoothly.
"Something is up. Stop talking shit and tell me. "
"What are you talking about?" My voice came out more like a squeak. How do you tell your friend that you have a crush on her brother who also happened to be your boss?
"Tell. Now "
"OK OK. Ireallylikejacob" I said all in one breath.
"Jeez woman, slowly "
" I really like Jacob " I could feel my face going red.
The expression on May's face was priceless. It looked like she had just met Shawn Mendes. If she likes him (A/N: I really do)
"Really? "
"Yeah"
"Then tell him"
"Noooo"
"Why? "
"I don't know if he likes me or not...we kissed that's it" Even though I said that's it it was more than that.
"I bet he likes you but you should play like your hard to get than only will he realize your worth."
I raised my eyebrow. Realized my worth? Did he think women were worthless?
"What do you mean "realize my worth?"?" I asked.
"Oh nothing much... Your just a special girl" she faked smile and laughed nervously. "Anyways I have to go. Sorry bye " and she left.
And she left me in the restaurant with my thoughts.
