THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Jacob! Where on earth are the kids?" Natalie screamed as she tried her level best not to burn the pancakes and over-cook the chicken at the same time.

"I can't find them." Jacob replied from somewhere in the house.

"What do you mean you can't find them? They will be late for school!"

"What is the use of having a huge house? That stupid hoe can't even find the fucking kids in the god-forsaken palace." Natalie mumbled under breath.

"Shit!" she swore as she saw the she had burned the pancake.

"I found the kids!!" Jacob yelled, triumphantly bringing down his 7 year old and 1o year old daughters, Jade and Emerald.

It was May's idea to name them after gem stones.

Natalie smiled as she saw her kids. Despite being completely stressed out handling these kids, she loved them beyond reason.

She slid two plates in front of them and on Jade's plate she put the pancake (she had made another one) and on Emerald's plate she put the chicken.

"Honey, what do you want?" she asked Jacob.

Jacob checked his watch and said, "Would you look at the time? I have to go to work. I think I'll pass on breakfast."

Natalie narrowed her eyes. "You are going to office today?"

Jacob seemed to think for a while. Something in Natalie's voice told him that today was in important day but he wasn't able to pin point what.

"Dad" Emerald said, grabbing the attention of her father who turned to her. "Today is your anniversary."

Jacob smacked his head as he came into the realization. Natalie just shook her head and went back to cooking.

Jacob wrapped his muscular arms around Natalie's waist and nuzzled his nose into the crook of her neck.

"I'm sorry, honey. It just slipped my mind."

Natalie smiled and said, "It's alright. You probably have way more important things to worry about."

"Important things?" Jacob repeated. "You are the most important thing for me. I love you more than anything."

Natalie smiled but that quickly turned into a groan once she noticed that she had burned the pancake. Again.
