So I'm not one hundred percent sure but this chapter will not have as much Malec as previous chapters. It will probably have a lot less Malec, still some, and much more of the Lightwoods and Jace.

Isabelle POV

I heard mom screaming something while beating on my door. I had just finished some really intense training and I was sore. Whining I got up.

"Where is Alexander?" Maryse asked.

"I don't know. He said he was crashing at a friend's because he didn't want to come back here and see Clary." I responded, annoyance evident in my voice.

"Shouldn't he be back by now?" She asked. By The Angel, she didn't know Alec at all.

"I don't know mom" I told her.

"Call him. He'll never pick up if it's me." She demanded.

"Okay" I said. I picked up my phone. Pressing the call button on Alec's profile it begins to ring.

"On speaker" she said and I did. My phone rang and rang but he didn't pick up.

"I'm tracking him." She said.

"What? Don't you think Alec deserves his privacy? I mean he's seventeen. Almost eighteen." I said, hoping he didn't have any pictures of Magnus laying around his room

"I would give him his privacy if he was to pick up when he is needed. You and him were supposed to be here."

"I'm sorry if you made a surprise visit and we didn't know because we couldn't read your mind" I retorted.

"Don't speak to me that way young lady. He was supposed to meet the High Warlock yesterday since he will be getting the Institute when he turns 18 or 19. Depends on his behaviors."

"He's already met Magnus Bane." I said before I could stop myself.

"What do you mean?" She asked stopping dead in her tracks.

"They met when we had to go to one of his parties so Magnus could help Clary. He gave her a temporary memory potion so she could remove whatever she needed to."I replied. I wasn't lying. It all happened I just left out the part that they had kissed and slept together multiple times.

"Oh. Well I want them to meet in a professional way, soon he will be the head of the Institute and will need to maintain our Downworld allies." My mother said. I nodded and we entered Alec's room.

He room was very neat. His bow and quiver were leaned against the wall, the bed was made, and no clothes littered the floor; they were on in his hamper. The only thing out of place were the bloody bandages on his desk.

Maryse walked over to his hamper and grabbed a shirt. She drew a find rune on it. (I know there probably isn't a find rune but just bear with me)

The shirt began to glow and morphed into a map. I knew what this map did, it would lead you to where whoever you were looking for was.

"This is in Brooklyn." Maryse said. My heart stopped. Magnus was the High Warlock of Brooklyn. They were going to be caught. And there was no way to warn them.

We followed the trail to the High Warlock's house. I watched as my mother preceded to knock on the door and draw an open rune when he didn't answer.

We walked in. Magnus' house was surprisingly clean. There were two bouquets of blueish-purple flowers on the coffee table and one on the dining. I vaguely remember something that Alec had said about them. Maybe they were a gift to Magnus. That is so cute

"Why would it lead us here?" Maryse asked, furiously.

"Because this is where the trail ends" said a familiar voice. Jace."I tried tracking him too, after Magnus was smirking when I said Alec would leave. Alec's phone is here"
