The Rescue pt. 1

Maryse POV

"How is Magnus doing?" I asked my son as he was doing paperwork.

"Good. He whines about the cast and leg brace but he's fine" Alec responded lovingly, a smile on his lips.

"Is he able to work?" I inquired.

"Kind of, he can't use too much magic or move around too much. Why?" He asked.

"We have a prisoner who needs questioning and the prisoner demanded to talk to him and refuses to talk to anyone else. We need information and he is the only one who can get it" I explained.

"I can ask him if he will" Alec offered.

"Thank you" I told him. He nodded.

Alec picked up his phone and clicked on Magnus' contact name.

"Hey Magnus" he said into the phone.

"Yeah, can you come to the Institute?"

"We need your help. A prisoner refuses to speak to anyone but you"

"Thank you"

"Love you too"

"Bye". Alexander said into the phone and then hung up.

Magnus POV

"Who is the person" I asked my boyfriend as he walked me to the cell.

"Don't know, she refuses to give a name" Alexander replied. I nodded slowly.

"This is it, do you want me to come with you?" He asked. I knew he wasn't going to stop worrying unless he knew it was safe for me. He is just too sweet

"Sure love" I told him. Alec took his stele and unlocked the door.

"I told you I'm not talking to anyone but Magnus" the voice I hoped to never hear again. She just keeps coming back

"I'm here" I replied. She turned around with a smirk. Her cold redish-brown eyes, her curly blonde hair, and the overly red smile; as if she had just finished feasting. I hated all of it.

"How have you been my love? It's wonderful to see you again" she told me, walking forward.

"My name is Magnus, so call my Magnus. And I can't say the same, you are the last person on Earth I want to see" I replied bluntly.

"Oh don't be so mean, I've come to take you back. It must be sickening to be without me. I know you've missed me" she said, not taking the hint.

"What did you do Camille?" I asked. Alexander's hand slid around my slim waist protectively.

"Nothing, maybe just a little something. Come closer and I'll tell you" she responded, trying to seduce me.

"What was it?" I asked.

"I switched sides, there is more for me with Valentine. He promised to deliver you to me, and who could deny that?" She replied, her voice soft.

"What. Did. You. Do" I asked again.

"Trafficking warlock children" she replied. I saw red and tried lunging at her, but Alexander held me back.

"You vile creature! Selling Downworld children to someone you will use and kill them! That is no place for children! You will tell me where you took them now and if you lie to me I'll kill you, and I'll still get them back" I growled out.
