Isabelle POV

"Iz take a look at the monitor" Jace yelled at me. I was searching the map of New York for unnatural demon signatures.

"What is it Jace?" I yelled back .

"The front door" he responded.

I looked at it. There was a two demons standing at the door. They were waiting patiently and I was surprised that the door hadn't been tore off with on of the demon's massive tail.

"Should we call Magnus? Mom and dad left last night" I asked.

"Magnus and Alec have the day off" Jace responded.

"Do you want to see if we can handle it?" I asked.

"Yeah. Clary needs to get used to seeing demons anyway" he responded.

"Okay" I replied. Then I yelled. "Clary"

A few minutes later the short redhead walked down the stairs. "Yeah?"

"There are two demons at the door and we are going to let them in so we can see what they want. You need to get used to seeing demons anyway. Stay calm and don't reach for your weapon unless they are hostile" I informed her. She nodded.

The three of us went to the door. I took a deep breath and opened the door. There were two men on the other side. They were both very tall. One had blonde hair and blue eyes, and the pupils of his eyes were star-shaped. The other had orange-red hair and green eyes. The second had a long, barbed tail, the tips of the barbs looked like they were covered in something. Probably poison.

"Hello Nephilim. We are sorry to bother you but we have something we would like to speak with you regarding the High Warlock. We have learned he hasn't been completely honest. And Clarissa knows something but she isn't exactly sure what" the one with the blonde hair said.

"I am Caelan and this is Kano" the one with the tail said.

"Why should we believe you?" Jace asked.

"We have lived a long time and lying only destroys everything. We have no intent to destroy" the blonde said.

"Let them in" Clary said. I looked at Jace, he shrugged and then nodded.

"Come in and please don't break anything" I replied.

They walked in and we lead them to a conference room. They didn't try anything; not to hurt us and not to sneak off.

Once we reached the room the took seats beside one another. Jace, Clary and I sat across from them.

"Why did you say that I knew something?" Clary asked.

"Your sketchbook, where is it?" Kano asked.

"Right here" Clary said, pulling it out of the bookbag she always wore around the Institute, and really everywhere else. She handed it to him.

He turned right to the page of the picture that Clary had drawn of the little boy. The one Magnus wouldn't tell her who they were. He pointed to the little boy.

"May I tell you a story?" Caelan asked. We all nodded, too intrigued to back out now.

"Once they was a boy too powerful for his own good. He was taken by some people who gave him a home and helped him control his power. What they didn't know is that as he grew older the more powerful he was, and the better he could hide it. Soon no one could match his power and he took over. A monster, a beast, everyone was afraid of him. He destroyed, he killed, he wreaked havoc and enjoyed blood everywhere.
