Chapter Thirty Seven

Jinwoo and G Soul watched as Jisoo and Lisa returned. The couple kissed each other before heading in to their home. GSoul's eye caught a different car than before stop in the distance. He told Jinwoo to be on alert.

Jisoo had jumped at the sight of the puppy but Lisa wasn't listening to her. She turned to see her girlfriend gawking in to Jennie's room. Coming to peer behind her, Jisoo placed her hands on top of her mouth.

It was Chae. She and Jennie were snuggling as they slept. Groggily the pink haired girl opened her eyes and immediately looked towards the door. She saw tears falling down Lisa's cheeks as Jisoo held her mouth. She gave them a smile before sitting up.

The movement woke up Jennie and she wanted to move her arms back around Chae's waist. However, Lisa had already ran in to a hug as she whimpered in to Chae's chest. Releasing her, Chae got up to give Jisoo a hug as well.

Seeing the embrace, Lisa and Jennie got up and joined them. The girls stood like that for a long while. Letting go, Chae used her thumbs to clear the tears on Jisoo's cheeks. Laughing, Jisoo pulled her in to another hug.

They moved in to the living room and soon Lisa was making everyone a cup of hot chocolate. Blowing on their drinks, they listened as Chae explained most of what she could about her plans.

The girls told her that they knew the gist of it because of 2NE1, so Chae skimmed over the details. She didn't really want to go in to her past anyway. She spoke of the failed operation in Italy and that the only reason she was back so soon was because Siyeon was spotted here.

The girls didn't care. As long as Chae was back. But she told them she had to go wherever Eric would be and knew that she'd just place the girls in further danger. She didn't want to see them get hurt.

"And we don't want to see you hurt, Chae," said Jisoo, "We're just going to go with you woman. You're a part of the family now"

Chae looked around and saw that all of them were giving her loving smiles. They cared so much for her and she apologised for making them worry. They told her to stop and made her promise to stay with them. Smiling at the choice of words, Chae nodded.

"Stay? Yeah I'll stay. Guess team Blackpink is stuck with me," she laughed and Jennie fell further in love with the sound. The others joined her and asked about the puppy. Chae shrugged and stated that it just came to her and she guessed they were stuck together too.

Jennie pulled the pink haired woman in to a kiss and told her she didn't mind something else to cuddle with. Lisa teased Chae relentlessly hearing Jennie's words and soon Jisoo found herself smiling as Chae pulled her familiar pout.

They spoke for a while before heading to bed. Jennie snuggled tightly in to Chae and for the first time in months slept soundly. The pink haired woman was the first to wake up and quickly checked the time.

It was 5am. Loosening Jennie's arms she made her way to the bathroom. Once she was done she stopped in the living room and saw that the puppy was awake. He'd drank up the milk and she picked him up. She gave him a kiss before she felt something wet on her hands.

Seeing that he needed the loo, Chae rushed outside with the dog. She stood waiting as he went on to do a number two. Clyde let down the binoculars as he recognised the face. He immediately drove up the road. He and Jungwook rushed out the car and made their way to the woman.

Chae was about to pick the puppy up when she felt a hand cover her mouth and strong arms pull her back. She struggled against the man and the puppy charged back in to the house.

Hearing the consistent barking Jennie sat up as she realised Chae wasn't there, rushing to follow the dog she got up. Jinwoo fired shots at the bulging man but he dodged them with Chae in his arms. Consistent shots were fired and he saw G Soul fall.

Jungwoo saw Jinwoo look at his partner and quickly fired at him as well. Jinwoo fell down immediately. Lisa and Jisoo rushed outside as they heard the shots. When they were out the front door they saw that Jennie was struggling with a massive man.

He had Chae in his arms and kicked Jennie away. The couple ran towards them but a car quickly pulled up. The man hopped in to the car with Chae in his arms and it sped off. In total shock, Jennie found herself running after a car again. She stopped halfway up the road as it moved in to the distance. Something tugged at her leg and glancing down she saw that the puppy had ran after Chae too.

Irene stood next to Taeyong as they listened to Yuta and Jaehyun explain how'd they follow the car with the two women instead of following Jisoo and Lisa home. They thought they could gain more intel but it had turned out the women had just returned back to the agency. By the time the two boys had returned to Blackpink's home the area was swarmed with police cars and reporters.

Irene took in the guilt ridden faces and assured them it wasn't their fault. They'd done exactly what they were meant to do and that was getting intel. She whispered to Tae to make sure the boys were alright as she left. Heading up towards her office, she fetched her bag. She needed to make sure Jennie was alright. Quickly texting Seulgi where she was off to, she was sure that the brunette most likely wasn't okay at all.
