It was a new year. Time to start over. Lena thought to herself. Lena had woken up before Kara with a pounding headache. She looked over at the person she loved most in the whole universe before getting out of bed and going to the couch, careful not to disturb her.

It had been almost two years since she and Kara started dating. So many things happened. So many new and beautiful things. The couple had gotten married on March 12. They had a gorgeous wedding and although Lena's family was not there, she had all of her friends and Kara's family to support her. Brainy had walked Lena down the isle. Their vows brought tears to everyone that attended the wedding, especially Alex and Maggie, which was a bit surprising considering their public 'badass' reputation. Lena and Kara saved the world once again, together.

At the same time, so many bad things had happened too. Both Lena and Kara had almost been killed, multiple times. Lena was diagnosed with depression, post dramatic stress disorder, and anxiety. She was not herself. Even Kara had a difficult time putting a smile on the girls face and there were times where she couldn't. Lena was cold, she developed and attitude towards Kara. At the peak of her depression, Lena would flinch whenever touched, even if Kara touched her. Kara had cried about it. She cried and cried and cried. She didn't think she'd ever get Lena back from the mentality she was in. But she did. Lena got better with the help of Kara. She was still depressed, but she was enjoying life much more. The worst had passed, and Lena was almost herself again. Lena's PTSD and anxiety never got worse or better. It always just stayed the same for the most part. Every once in a while, Lena has a panic attack, but Kara is always by her side to help her through it. Lena didn't feel normal. She wanted to be normal. She didn't feel like herself, Lena didn't even know why Kara had stayed with her. She often imagined herself as the dark raincloud dampening Kara's sunshine, but the perfect blonde didn't care. As long as Lena was healthy and happy, she was fine, and if she wasn't, Kara would make sure that Lena returned to being healthy and happy. No matter how hard it was.

But the one thing that did not change, was that they were always with each other and they loved each other unconditionally. No matter what happened.

Lena smiled softly when she heard the thudding of Kara's heavy feet in the morning. "Hi, Kar," Lena said quietly, knowing that she didn't have to use her voice because of Kara's super hearing.

"I didn't feel you in the bed when I woke up and I was worried that you weren't okay." Kara pouted and flew instead of walking to sit next to Lena.

"I'm sorry, princess. I didn't mean to worry you." Lena tucked Kara's hair behind her ear.

"It's okay," Kara smiled and kissed Lena gently.

"I love you," Lena smiled.

"I love you so much more."
