Electricity shot through the two.

Rogue was stiff as a stone as he felt Sting's lips on his.

Sting started to pull back and Rogue panicked.

The Dark Dragon Slayer grabbed onto Sting's neck and pulled him back down.

Sting's eyes opened and he looked down at the black-haired man.

He grinned goofily into their kiss.

When they finally pulled apart, Sting beamed at his best friend... well... his... WELL WHATEVER THEY WERE NOW!

Sting didn't know what they were, but it was awesome.

Sting grabbed onto Rogue's hand and pulled him down back to the party.

Rogue, barely functioning, dug his heels onto the ground to stop himself from being pulled any farther.

"Sting, did that just happen?!"

Sting laughed at Rogue's question.

"I thought you were the smart one in this relationship!" Sting said, smirking.

Rogue blushed at the word relationship.

How long had he been waiting for this?

Rogue wasn't entirely sure how long it had really been now.

"So... are we...?" Rogue didn't know if he could finish his question.

"I mean, I would think so considering we're Mates..." Sting looked just a little self conscious at the words.

Rogue found himself smiling... no, he was beaming.

"I would like that..." Rogue said.

It was cheesy and not very original, but that was alright.

There was a reason it was a classic.

Sting laughed and led him back to the rest of the guild.

Rogue tried to get his expression back to normal, but he couldn't.

He was far too happy with the outcome of this evening.

The next day came sooner than expected and every single person within the stadium held their breath as they awaited to hear who was going to be participating in today's competition.

"From Fairy Tail A, Gray Fullbuster!"

Natsu tried to not look like he cared about what was happening to his Mate.

"From Fairy Tail B, Laxus Dreyer!"

"WHAT?! ICY GETS TO FIGHT LAXUS AND I DON'T?!"

"Shove it," Gray responded with an eye roll.

"From Blue Pegasus, Hibiki Lates!"

The man was already crying.

He'd thought today would be a good day to go.

That was before two of Fairy Tail's strongest Mages had been announced moments before.

"From Lamia Scale, Lyon Vastia!"

The man cracked his knuckles.

"Prepare yourself, Gray." He said in a low, ominous tone.

"From Mermaid Heel, Araña Webb!"

Kagura tried to look forward as the rest of her guild watched Millianna and her, whispering and giggling.

Beth was the worst, still gloating about having guessed when the two would get together.
