His Nerd

Chapter Two

This is pretty short, but I hope you guys like it! I promise other chapters will be longer :) let me know what you guys think

"Excuse me?" I hear the deep voice say

My brown eyes lock with his grey ones

I'd be lying if I said he wasn't attractive. He has that kind of face that you just can't help but stare at. He has tousled dark brown hair almost black which was thick and lustrous. His lips were full and had a chiseled jaw and a high bridged nose. But his eyes..the cold grey eyes held so much intensity making me feel weak to the knees

too bad his personality is shit

I look at the worker and see his green eyes looking at me wide with a hint of shock and plead. I can't help but feel sorry for the boy. Sure, he made a mistake but that's simply all that it was. A mistake. 

I get up from my sitting position while putting my book down and walk towards them swallowing the anxiety riding up on me

"Listen, I apologize about the incident but it was an accident. I don't think you need to talk to the manager about it" I said softly to the man while his gaze simply hardens on me

"And who are you?" He asks in a deep voice while taking a step towards me only for me to take a  step back

"I'm simply a customer. I come here almost every Friday and I can assure you it's a really good cafe shop" I say while smiling gently hoping to ease the tension but all I get in return is a glare

I shift slightly intimidated by the man's stare but quickly look back up with determination 

"I know it's not my place to tell you what to do-"

"You're right. It's not" I get interrupted by the man's harsh voice

"but," I urge "there's honestly no reason to be so upset. Here, if you want, I can dry clean them for you but please don't get him fired" I point to the boy whose watching the exchange anxiously biting his fingernails from time to time

"Ple-e-ase sir" the boy says quietly

I look at him and my facial expressions soften at the boy. I look towards the man to see his already staring at me but this time with an unreadable expression

"Is there a problem here?" I see John approaching us with concern laced on his face

"Ben, what happened" John asks the boy 

"I--uh-i-"

"It's nothing. I wasn't watching where I was going and accidentally knocked into him while he was holding coffee" the man says quite grumpily 

"Oh, alright. Ben, get the nice man some napkins to wipe himself off" 

Ben hurridly leaves but not before giving me a grateful smile 

"How's the book sweetheart?"

My eyes widen in excitement as I say, "Oh my goodness, it's incredible! I'm absolutely obsessed" 

John shakes his head while laughing

"I'm glad you like it hun" He says while walking away to greet another customer

I grin at him and turn my head to see the man still staring at me with no expression on his face

I cough slightly feeling a bit nervous 

"um..thank you" I say shyly while putting a piece of my hair that escaped my ponytail behind my ear 

the man just stares at me and grunts before leaving the cafe 

that went...well?
