Your POV

I had been browsing online when I found it.

News
Government Member ALEXANDER HAMILTON, Had a Torrid Affair?
And he wrote it down right WHERE?! Highlights!

I couldn't believe my eyes. Right under our noses, he had been cheating?

~

"Your family wants you back in France, huh? And just how long have you been hiding that?"

"Almost a month..."

"You may as well just f*ckin' go then! You could've told us sooner; we're not heartless!"

Goddamn. One had an affair, and the next had been secretly planning to leave for over a month. Halfway across the world.

~

"So you weren't even gonna try and risk it? Not even for her?"

"Well how was I supposed to--"

"Know? That's the point of the f*ckin' risk, Herc! It shouldn't matter when you hear your girlfriend is in harm's way!"

"Is that the point of this, then? To f*cking ridicule me?! I don't need telling off!"

"Herc.. John's just trying to tell you--"

"Shut up, (Y/N)! Don't think I don't know what he's trying to tell me! This is just all bullsh*t! F*cking bullsh*t!"

~

"So this is how our lives go down, huh?" I laughed forcefully.

"It doesn't mean we have to stop at rock bottom," John responded after a moment.

"I mean, judging by the outcomes so far, it's gonna hit rock bottom when you leave."

"It isn't hittin' rock bottom then. Besides, even now we can only go up," he countered, walking toward me a bit.

"How can we be so sure? How can you be so sure?" I retorted, feeling sadness well up as I took a step back.

John stepped forward, taking my hands in his. I squeezed them tightly, looking up at him. He smiled reassuringly.

"You trust me, right?"

I nodded. "Of course."

"Then believe me. Please. I won't leave you, I promise."

I paused a moment, then nodded again. "I believe you."

John smiled again, pulling me forward into a tight hug.

~

"Well this is interesting."

I wasn't pulled out of my thoughts until Alexander's voice did it for me. Snapping back to reality, I saw him, Hercules, and Lafayette in front of me.

I had to take a moment to look around, remembering where I was and why. After a beat everything clicked again.

Central Park. John and I had decided to take a walk and we're minding our own business when he had spotted them. And now we were here.

It had only been about two months since Hercules had left. Three months before that had been Lafayette, and then two months before that was Alexander. Things just seemed to happen in patterns in my life. Regardless, it had been months since I had seen the three of them.

Subconsciously, I moved closer to John, feeling him place his hand on my back.

"If that's what you'd call it," John muttered.

I had no idea how and why Alexander was so calm and literally stating how interesting our run-on was.

"So 'ow 'ave you two been?" Lafayette asked after a moment.

'For real? Are they for real?'

I looked up at John, who not only seemed as confused as I was, but there was also a spark of anger in his hazel eyes.

"Perfectly fine if you must know," John answered coolly.

"Trés bien.." Lafayette said to himself.

"¿Por qué no se van?" I asked John in a quiet voice. (Why don't they leave?)

"Nos extrañan, princesa," John replied. (They miss us, princess.)

"¿Así que?" (So?)

"Ellos harán cualquier cosa para recuperarnos." (They will do anything to get us back.)

...

Welcome~!

Before we go into chapter one next, I give a slight warning... Google Translate. I don't speak Spanish, so this is my best resort. If anything is incorrect, don't be afraid to point it out!

Also, this book will contain quite a bit of cursing, aggressive behavior, and other not-so-nice things, but if anything gets extreme, there will be a warning!

With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy Don't Need Them.
