Sorry... I lied. Time skips are equal to a year. Also please don't kill me after this--

Alexander's POV

"Where is it... where is it..?"

I searched around our room. It couldn't have been far; we just got it.

"Where-- a-ha!" I swiped up the item, sticking it in my bag.

"Did you find it, sweetheart?" Herc's voice asked.

I turned, seeing him in the bedroom door way. I nodded. "I did! I think we're all ready!"

Herc cracked a smile. "Awesome! We still have a bit of time to kill though, so hang tight."

Your POV

It had been a little over a whole year since Frances was born. She could easily walk around now and liked attempting to run around the house, even if she couldn't get far. Our current task was helping her with stairs.

Her vocabulary was also increasing. She could say short words, and even small, two or three word phrases. But I noticed she took a liking to saying 'Mama' and 'Dada' the most. Maybe she knew the reaction she got out of it.

Currently, John and I were on the couch, Frances sat on his lap. Moana was playing and Tamatoa was halfway through "Shiny". It was funny to watch Frances bounce around to the music.

About ten minutes after the song ended, I looked down to see Frances had fallen asleep, still holding onto John's arm.

I giggled quietly. "I think it's time for her to go to bed."

John chuckled. "I think so too." He adjusted so he could carefully stand up without waking her. "I'll put her to bed, I'll be back down in a bit."

I smiled. "Thanks, príncipe."

"Of course, princesa."

John walked out of the living room, disappearing. He came back down after a few minutes, sitting next to me. "She woke up and wouldn't let me go for a bit," he laughed.

I giggled. "Did you sing?" I had been helping John like he had suggested, and he was getting a lot better. He was still a bit shy about it, but I heard it more often, which made me happy.

John smiled sheepishly. "A little. She likes me singing "Hey There Delilah" for some reason."

"Well, that is the song you do best I think." I looked at the paused movie, then back at my husband. "Finish it for the hell of it?"

John laughed, wrapping an arm around my waist. "Sure, chickadee."

~

Finishing Moana turned into also watching a lot of Spongebob episodes. We were still essentially children. Besides, picking out the adult things in certain Spongebob episodes was fun.

I checked my phone. 11:28 PM. I looked at John. "We should probably get to bed. I have to see Cassie around lunchtime for song writing."

John nodded, and before I could get up myself, he managed to pick me up. I stifled laughter, wrapping my arms around his neck.

John chuckled, kissing my nose before starting to walk upstairs.

Once we were in our room, he set me on the bed, walking around to his side and climbing in. He laid on his back and I rested my head on his chest, one of his arms subconsciously wrapping around me.

"Goodnight, chickadee," he whispered. "I love you."

I smiled, cuddling closer. "I love you too, baby."

~ 2:07 AM ~

I woke up to the sound of crying from the baby monitor, which was a little unusual. Frances rarely ever cried during the night now.

Opening my eyes, I looked at the monitor's screen, feeling a sense of anxiety when I swore I saw a shadow near Frances's crib.

Carefully, I moved out of John's arms and got off the bed. I opened the bedroom door, the hallway dim with light from the open nursery door. It had been closed when we went upstairs.

My heart rate picked up, and I silently went down the hall. Looking into the Frances's room, she was held in someone's arms, the person trying to calm her down.

I went to step into the room, but I had only taken a couple steps when a pair of arms grabbed me, pulling me to them. I shrieked, but the person quickly covered my mouth. I recognized him immediately. Lafayette.

After struggling frantically for a few moments, I managed to pry Lafayette's hand off my mouth. "J-John, he--!"

There was a sharp pain when something collided hard with back of my head. Instantly, I collapsed out of Lafayette's arms and fell into unconsciousness; like a light being flipped off.

John's POV

I woke up with a start as soon as I heard a shriek and (Y/N) shout something.

I was off the bed and leaving the room in a start. Frances's room was open.

Entering the room, I immediately felt a range of emotions. Alexander had Frances in his arms, and Lafayette was standing behind an unconscious (Y/N).

I looked back up at Alexander. "Put my f*ckin' daughter down!"

"This sweet girl?" Alexander taunted sweetly. "Sorry, love, but no can do."

Before I could say anything, I was grabbed and pulled back by Lafayette as Alexander ran right past me.

I managed to pull myself from Lafayette's grip, running after Alexander. I ran down the stairs, but right before I could get him I was yanked back by Hercules, Lafayette running by too. I was pushed to the ground as Hercules was the last to leave.

Rushing out the front door and down the short driveway, the car they were in was already driving off down the street. "N-No.. No!"

I knew I wouldn't be able to catch them. "F*ck!"

I ran a hand through my hair as another thing sunk it. (Y/N).

My eyes widened, and I rushed back into the house, nearly slamming the door and running up the stairs. I hurried back into the nursery, dropping next to (Y/N). When I went to put my hand on the back of her head, it came back with a bit of blood.

I felt tears start slipping down my face as everything sank in. "O-Oh God, mi ángel... please get up.."

I rested my hand on her cheek. "(Y/N)... (Y/N), pl-please..!"

I gave in trying to stop the hot rush of tears. They hurt my wife and stole my daughter, and then said they loved us?

It didn't matter; whatever patience I had left with them was torn apart.
