Your POV
I woke up, feeling better already when I found myself held in John's arms. I felt one of his arms around my waist, his other hand holding mine as they rested on his chest. My head was also on his chest, and I moved slightly closer to him.
"G'mornin' chickadee," I heard John's raspy voice murmur after a moment.
"Mornin' baby," I muttered, holding his hand tighter.
"It's nearly ten, we should probably get up," John spoke after a moment.
"I don' wanna," I mumbled, burying my head in his chest.
John chuckled quietly, running a hand up and down my back slowly. "We have to get up eventually, princesa. As much as I enjoy this."
"Just a few more minutes..." I responded, cuddling closer to him.
"C'mon, princesa... I will carry you downstairs if I have to." (John & Y/N live in a small house in NY rather than an apartment. just so ya know~)
"You wouldn't," I spoke, finally looking up at him.
To my dismay, John sat up, forcing me to move over. "Baby whyyyyy?"
"You asked for it..."
I watched him get off of the bed, walking over to my side. I bit back a smile and giggles when he picked me up with ease.
I held onto the fabric of his shirt. "Don't drop me, I swear.."
John chuckled a bit, starting to walk. "I've picked you up dozens of times these past two years. Have I ever dropped you?"
"No.."
"Exactly. And we're going on three years, so don't worry about it," he responded.
John carefully made his way down the stairs and when we got into the kitchen, he placed me on the counter.
"Well, now that you've disrupted something that could've been great, now what?" I asked.
"What else would we do? May as well make breakfast."
"Only if it's pancakes," I responded teasingly.
John turned toward the cabinets. "Pancakes it is then."
I gasped, sliding off the counter. "Yes!"
~
I put the last dish back in the cabinet, hearing footsteps. I turned to see John entering the room. "You could've called me in to help you, chickadee."
I shrugged him off. "I got it. But we need more eggs. I think we need some butter as well... I can go get it though."
"Princesa, you don't need to do all the work. At least let me go with you, because I know you're too stubborn to let me do it myself."
"You know me too well," I responded, grabbing his car keys off the kitchen island and tossing them.
John chuckled, and I followed him back down the hall. After a few minutes, we were already halfway to the store.
~
"Okay, so I can go get the eggs then, and we'll find each other eventually," I snickered.
John grinned. "Gotcha. Til we meet again, princesa."
I stifled a laugh. "Til we meet again, príncipe."
Within moments, I had found myself in the proper aisle for the eggs, and it turns out I wasn't entirely alone. What better way to kick-start the day than seeing your three polyamorous exes, huh?
Holding back a sigh, I straightened my posture slightly and walked towards the eggs. 'It's just a simple task. Grab them and--'
"(Y/N)?"
'...go.'
For f*ck's sake.
I turned, forcing a kind smile. "Lafayette."
"Comment ça va?" (How are you?)
"Mejor antes de que te viera a los tres..." I muttered. (Better before I saw you three...)
Realizing he was still expecting an answer (that he could understand), I spoke again. "Pas mal.. pas mal." (Not bad.. not bad.)
I was silently praying the other two wouldn't walk over, but of course life can always go wrong.
"Well, it's been a while," Alexander spoke.
"If by 'a while', you mean a couple weeks, then yes, it has," I responded simply.
It was silent a moment, and I almost walked away without another word, if it wasn't for Lafayette.
"So.. 'ow 'ave things been between you and John?"
'Do they think I'm that stupid?'
I decided to answer honestly. After all, they brought it upon themselves. "Well, things have been wonderful if you must know! We've been making plans to go to that spring fair rolling around. It's been nothing but love."
I felt a sense of satisfaction at their faces dropping slightly. It wasn't entirely noticeable, but I had dated them for two years, I could say I knew them pretty well. I could tell by their looks they were already planning another run-on with me and John.
"Did John come here with you?" Hercules asked after a beat.
I nodded. "He did. And speaking of, I should probably go find him anyways."
Before one of them could reply, I grabbed a carton of eggs. "I'll be off now. Good day, boys."
Alexander's POV
We watched as (Y/N) walked away, and it wasn't long before John came into view as well.
I turned to Herc and Laf. "Spring fair, huh?"
Herc looked at me. "Potential chance?"
I nodded. "We need all the chances we can get. The more encounters, the more of a chance we have for them to fall in love with us once again."
