~ half hour later ~

Your POV

I was glad the reception was finally in full swing. Some people were sat at tables eating or talking, and others were dancing. I managed to drag John back out to dance after we had small pieces of cake. I didn't think he'd go with me after I decided to hit him with some cake, but here we were now.

'I Won't Say (I'm In Love)' was flowing throughout the room (I had -easily- convinced John to add Disney songs).

I looked over at Teegan, who was dancing around with Amara and singing the words. "No man is worth the aggravation."

I laughed, going over to her and Amara and joining her singing. "That's ancient history, been there, done that."

"Who d'you think you're kidding? He's the earth and heaven to you. Try to keep it hidden, honey, we can see right through you," Amara and Teegan sang in a teasing tone.

"No chance, no way. I won't say it, no no. It's too cliche, I won't say I'm in love," I sang, turning and looking at John.

We kept singing through until we got to the end.

"This scene won't play; I won't say I'm in love. You're way off base, I won't say it," I responded to Amara and Teegan, walking over to John. "Get off my case, I won't say it."

John took my hand, twirling me around. I stifled some giggles, him sending me a playful smile.

"At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love," I finished, unable to contain my laughter as it ended.

I turned around to see both Amara and Teegan laughing as well.

"That was fun!" Amara spoke through her laughter.

Teegan and I nodded. "It was!" I responded.

"(Y/N)!" a small voice called.

I looked to see Amara's six year-old nephew Addison running over, stopping in front of me.

I giggled. "Hey Adds! What's up?"

"Can I dance with you?"

I felt my heart melt slightly, as well as everyone else's in the vicinity.

I noticed 'Immortals' from Big Hero 6 was playing. Nodding to Addison's question, I scooped him up, him bursting into giggles.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

He nodded excitedly. "Yeah!"

I laughed, starting to move side-to-side with him, or twirling around. I separated ourselves from everyone else so I had more room to dance with Addison without my dress hitting anyone from twirling.

I started singing at the second chorus, making Addison's warm brown eyes light up.

As the song eventually came to an end, I twirled him one last time before setting him down. He started clapping and bouncing around once he was back on the ground.

"That was so much fun, (N/N)! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

I laughed, reaching down and ruffling his dark auburn hair. "That was fun! Thanks for dancing with me, Adds."

He giggled before turning. "I wanna go find Gabby! Bye (N/N)!" With that, he took off, going to find John's younger cousin.

Feeling a hand on my waist, I turned to see John. "You look absolutely cute with kids. Just thought you should know that."

"Well Addison is a sweetheart," I responded, laughing slightly.

"I can see that," John replied, using his free hand to motion over to Addison.

Both six year-olds were by the corner of the dance floor. Addison pointed to Gabby's burgundy dress, saying something I couldn't see. But I could tell it was something good by Gabby beaming.

Gabby grabbed Addison's arm, tugging him along as they toddled more onto the dance floor and started bouncing around to the music.

"That's so cute," I mumbled, looking back at John.

He chuckled. "They're going to be one of those primary school 'couples'. I'm calling it now."

I was going to reply, but cut myself when I heard 'House of Memories' start playing.

Smiling, I tugged John closer. "C'mon!"

John laughed, one arm settling on my waist and the other grabbing one of my hands.

"If you're a lover, you should know the lonely moments just get lonelier the longer you're in love, than if you were alone.
Memories turn into daydreams, become a taboo," I sang.

John was quiet, but there was a smile on his face. At the start of the chorus, he twirled me around.

The reception was finally coming to a close. Coming full circle, 'Can't Help Falling In Love' was back on, but now everyone was welcome.

I felt content at the feeling of being in John's arms, gently swaying back and forth.

"I can't believe it's finally official," he mumbled after a moment, looking down at me.

I giggled, moving so I could rest my head against John's chest but still sway. "It really is."

"You're now officially (Y/N) Laurens. We finally got to have our day."

I nodded. "It was everything I wanted and more. I wouldn't change a thing."

"Not even after... Alexander?" he asked quietly.

"Not even after."

John placed a gentle kiss on my head after a moment. "You're too good for me sometimes."

"As are you."

He chuckled quietly. "Whatever you say."

I giggled softly. "You're certainly someone, Mr. Laurens."

"So are you, Mrs. Laurens. So are you."
