Alexander's POV

I shut my phone off after looking at both (Y/N) and John's Instagram stories. So that was why they were nowhere to be seen today. In our defense, we knew them pretty well, and since today was so nice, we figured they'd be at the park or something. But it turns out they were in a completely different city.

I looked up from my phone, staring at the three-quarter finished document on my laptop. Laf and Herc has gone off to bed, Herc claiming he had to get up early for some projects and Laf saying he'd go help him. I would've gone had I not had to work myself the next day.

My mind swam with many thoughts, most of which of John and (Y/N). The fact they were getting married still had me thinking, and that was three months ago.

I had no idea when their wedding would be, but remembering back to the article Laf had shown me, it might be next year. If I was lucky, I could've tried getting in contact with one of (Y/N)'s friends, like Amara.

I knew most people would've given up by now, knowing the two people they loved were getting married. But I was determined. As long as I could find out the date, we had a chance.

Sure, it was a very risky chance, but it was something I was willing to do. I was willing to do anything at this point; things just weren't the same without them.

Your POV

While John was at work, I decided today would be the day I found my wedding dress. Or... tried.

I had called Teegan, Mei, and Amara, and they all agreed to come with me.

Although all three girls were close friends, I had decided to make Teegan the maid of honor, since I'd known her the longest. Along with Mei and Amara, the Schuyler sisters were also bridesmaids.

Fast forward back to now, I held my second dress in my hand. The first one was okay, quite simple really. Not everything I had in mind.

This second dress I really liked, and was excited to try on.

Upon putting it on, I walked out to the girls, doing a brief twirl

Upon putting it on, I walked out to the girls, doing a brief twirl. "Well?"

"That's so cute!" Amara exclaimed.

Mei nodded. "Yes! It's simple yet amazing!"

"I agree with both of them," Teegan mused, "but it's your call."

I looked in the mirror, turning as I saw fit. "It is nice. I'll definitely consider it."

"Okay! What about this one?"

"Are you trying to kill John? Hell, you're about to kill me!" Teegan answered.

"Damn (Y/N)... are you sure I should be seen with you?" Amara joked.

Mei beamed. "That dress is gorgeous, (N/N)! You're so pretty!"

I giggled, twirling a bit and looking in the mirror. "Thanks Mei. I saw another dress like this one so I'll try it on."

"Last dress!"

"Simple yet cute~!" Teegan noted as I walked out

"Simple yet cute~!" Teegan noted as I walked out.

"I think this one is my favorite!" Mei added.

"I liked that previous one. It's a beautiful, yet teasing dress," Teegan responded.

"But they're all pretty, that's the problem!" I exclaimed, glancing at my reflection.

Amara laughed. "Don't worry (Y/N). You'll pick the perfect one."

"It's gonna be one of these past three. I know it. But I don't know which," I replied to Amara.

"Well, why don't we go out and think on it? We could also look for some bridesmaid dresses while we're at it."

"And a maid of honor dress~!" Teegan chimed in, making us laugh.

I arrived home to an empty, quiet house. John must've still been at work. I immediately hurried up the stairs, opening our bedroom door and grabbing my guitar.

Climbing onto the bed, I grabbed my lyric book. I flipped it open to my most recent page, a half-finished 'Take The World' scrawled across the lines.

I had most of the verses, but I needed a chorus and some guitar to accompany it, as that was my plan.

Sitting for a moment, I thought silently. What could I possibly do for the chorus that John would adore?

While playing with various guitar chords, an idea struck me. Nearly dropping my guitar on the bed, I grabbed my pencil, immediately scribbling in the book.

'Cause they can write stories, they can sing songs.
But they don't make fairy tales sweeter than ours.'

I had a start. But what else? If the song was called 'Take The World', I had to include that somehow.

I paused, finally feeling another idea hit.

'They can climb mountains high into the sky.
But they can't take the world. Oh, like we can take the world.'

I dropped my pencil onto the paper, satisfaction washing over me. 'Perfect!'

Things really were turning up, and I was glad.
