~ the next day; 5:30 PM ~

Your POV

"Are you almost ready, princesa?"

"Yep! I just need to change quickly."

"Okay-- oh wait! I can finally see the dress!"

I laughed, gently pushing him out. "Yes! Now I want it to be a surprise so no entering until I say."

John pouted playfully. "Fine."

Upon closing the door, I hurried over to the closet, pulling the dress out from underneath another.

After putting on the dress, I found a large white sweater to put on. Sliding it onto my shoulders, I turned towards the door. "You can reenter now, príncipe!"

With that, I watched the door open, John stepping in. I saw his hazel eyes glance up and down a moment, a charming smile on his face. "What a surprise~"

I stepped over to my vanity as he walked over, standing behind me and gently placing his hands on my waist.

"With you looking like this, I don't want the guys seeing you even more, princesa," he mumbled in a low, teasing tone.

I felt my cheeks turn a light rose. "You're such a tease."

John chuckled, placing a soft kiss on my neck. "Only for you, princesa."

I couldn't help but giggle, gently pushing him off so I could sit in my chair.

John watched as I quickly brushed through my hair, a slight smirk on his face every time we locked eyes through the mirror.

Upon finishing, I stood up. "I'm dating such a tease, dios mío..."

He laughed, grabbing my hand. "Let's get going though, shall we?"

I giggled. "Alright, lover boy. Lead the way."

"We made ittt!" I cheered at my camera, keeping it on John and I. "I hope to meet some of y'all here tonight!"

I stopped the video, putting it on my Instagram story.

After, I tucked my phone in my sweater pocket, looking around. Lights were strung up in trees and 'In My Blood' was playing through some speakers around us. Booths were set up within feet of each other, containing things from sweatshirts to simple bracelets, ranging from YouTuber and music artist merch alike.

"This is so cool!" I gushed, spinning around to admire everything.

I heard John chuckle. "It is! But admiring can wait; we have things to do!"

I laughed, turning to face John. He sent me a lopsided smile, holding out his arm. I giggled, holding onto his arm as we started making our way through the already growing crowd.

About an hour has passed, and we had already run into a few fans. One of them was a six year-old girl who listened to my music and she absolutely melted my heart.

John and I had found three rides to go on, spending the rest of the time just looking around and enjoying the scenery. We wanted going on the Ferris wheel to be our last thing.

We were walking away from our fourth ride, and decided to take a quick break and walk around.

As we walked, John looked over at me. "Are you enjoying yourself, chickadee?"

I nodded, smiling. "For sure! What about you, baby?"

John nodded as well. "Definitely. It's nice to be free from the world, at least for a few hours."

"Laf! Stop running!"

Turning the path's corner, I collided straight into someone pretty damn hard. I definitely would've fell if John didn't quickly catch me.

I felt John pull me back, one of his arms staying secure around my waist.

"Ay dios mío... Los voy a lastimar..." John muttered. (Oh my God... I'm going to hurt them...)

He looked over at me, narrowed hazel eyes softening. "Are you okay, princesa?"

I nodded. "Yes, príncipe. Don't worry."

I had been hoping that if I at least saw the guys, I'd just look at them, not literally run into them. So much for that.

I looked up, seeing Lafayette with wide, embarrassed eyes. He stepped back, clearing his throat and muttering a French curse under his breath. "Je suis desolé... I should 'ave been paying better attention."

John scoffed quietly and mumbled something in Spanish to himself, and I only shrugged slightly. "It's.. fine."

"I was hoping if we had an encounter it wouldn't go like this... but alright," Alexander spoke after a moment, coming up from behind Lafayette.

"Right.." I coughed awkwardly. "So... why are you three even here?"

"We've been waiting for this for a while now; glad it's finally here," Hercules answered. "You guys?"

"Same reason," John responded after a beat passed.

"What're you two planning on doing after?" Lafayette asked.

I shrugged. "John here says he has a surprise for me at some point. I'm presuming that means I'll be getting it after the fair."

John nodded, a light smile on his face. "That you will."

I could visibly see the three get more nervous as they exchanged glances, but shrugged it off. John took the chance to speak up again.

"Well, the night ain't gettin' any younger, and we still have the Ferris wheel to go on."

I nodded, glad John had thought of a quick way out. "Yeah, we do. C'mon!"

John chuckled, his arm removing itself from my waist as I held onto it.

With that, we dismissed ourselves, and as we started walking, I heard Alexander call a "wait!"

John turned his head slightly. "Don't worry, we'll see you again soon! I know you'll make sure of it!"

I couldn't help but giggle as John looked back forward, a smug smile on his face. "Serves them right."

"It only took a century!"

I sat next to John in a Ferris wheel cart as it started going up.

He laughed. "Yeah. We only had to slide by the guys again."

"Yeah, I know. But, can I know the surprise yet?"

"Nope."

"Johnnnnn."

"Nope. You're not knowing yet. It's only like... not even two hours away. You can live."

I pouted. "Fine."

I couldn't keep the pout for long though, giggling when John kissed my cheek.

On the second loop around, the cart stopped near the top. All the lights looked awesome from above.

"Are you sure this wasn't the surprise?" I teased.

John chuckled, nodding. "Trust me, my surprise is way better."

"I'm sure it is, príncipe."
