Sleep

She closes her eyes,

one final time,

her smile leaves her lips,

the world around her falls away.

She looks peaceful.

She looks graceful.

She will sleep for the final time.

She can finally live in the sunset she's always wanted.

the hues of her day

were always brighter than the sun itself.

She opens the door to the world beyond our dimension

She will sing with a timid voice,

and dance once again.

She can rest easily,

her pain no longer exists,

her memory remains strong.

She was as strong as a cement statue.

She was as friendly as the wind of a Spring breeze.

Sleep, my dear.

Rest your tired eyes.

years of life,

years of trials, tribulations, and triumphs.

Sleep, my dear.

Rest your tired bones.

we will sing your memories

in the sunrise of tomorrow,

and the Sunset of today.

Sleep, my dear.

Rest your wondering soul.

We will miss you,

We will miss you.

We will miss you.

Sleep, my dear.

Tears will fall,

but you will be remembered by all.

Sleep well, my dear.

and rest in peace.
