Virgil stared up at the setting sun. He liked sunsets. They calmed him down.

Sunsets were beautiful things. Things to live for. Probably the only thing keeping him alive.

He stared up at the fiery star sinking into the ocean, sending pink and blue and purple lights across the clouds and sky. Giving the world one last, beautiful goodbye before sinking down and leaving them for the next twelve hours, lending them over to the moon, whose pale light shines softly.

He liked sunsets. Because they reminded him of someone he knew.

Roman.

In this so called sunset metaphor, Roman was the sun. He was the fiery, beautiful star that lit up the day sky. But as it came time to go, to let someone else take the reign, he gave off one last, extravagant goodbye, to be seen later.

Virgil was the person watching the sunset from afar. Enjoying its beauty.
