25: Work Work Work

"Hey Nara! Wake up!", Jennie said as she shook me awake and I laughed as I opened my eye because she was tickling me along with Nayeon who was beside me and was also tickled awake.

"Come on, you said you didn't want to be a burden right? So come on wake up and take a shower, it's your first day on the job", she said as she pulled me out of the bed and Nayeon lazily stood up from the bed and she told me I'll go shower first.

I nodded and I stood up as I saw Jennie was already in her nurse uniform then my head started to hurt again and I held it and she said, "Are you okay? I know why it hurts, you have head trauma so you may not remember some of your memories so I'll help you throughout this okay."

I nodded and she lended me a hand and I held it and she helped me up.

Then we started watching some cute cat videos as we waited for Nayeon to finish showering and changing. Midway the cute cat videos, Nayeon got out of the bathroom and I stood up and then she was already in her nurse uniform and before I headed to my bag she said, "Pick something work appropriate, preferrably something paired with a cardigan, and something that looks homey and welcoming to incoming patients because you're gonna be at the desk most of the time."

I nodded and I went to the bathroom and took Nayeon's old phone with me and I started playing music with her phone as I sang and showered at the same time.

I sang on the top of my lungs and they both banged on the door and said in unison, "Quit monkeying around! We got work to go to."

I laughed and showered quick but my body still grooved with the music and then I finally finished showering and dried my hair then I put on a bit if makeup using their makeup, I hope they don't notice.

Then I put on my clothes and I got out of the bathroom and I showed myself to them and they said, "Perfect."

I nodded and we headed off outside the apartment and all I brought with me was Nayeon's old phone that her and Jennie will contact me in when they need my assistance.

We left the apartment and started walking to the hospital which was just an 8 minute walk away. I looked around the view of the concrete jungle of Seoul, It almost felt like I was here for the first time and that I've never seen every crevice when I already have.

When we kept on walking I bumped into someone and I almost lost my balance but Nayeon caught me and said, "Careful Nara."

I nodded and we walked even more until we finally arrived at the hospital then Jennie and Nayeon took me to what seems like the office of the administrator of the hospital.

They slowly opened the door and there it was revealed was the administrator. And woah he was handsome.

But it looked like he was just playing around by not sitting properly then he noticed our presence and he fixed himself up and he said, "Nurse Im and Nurse Kim, what brings you here and who is this beautiful young lady?"

He faced us and he looked very familiar.

"Ummm Mr. Do, this is Park Nara," Jennie said.

Do, that last name. It's so familiar.

DO KYUNGSOO!

"Kyungsoo! It's me Nara! Peppermint patty remember?! That was your nickname for me!", I said and his eyes widened and he stood up and hugged me and he said, "Nara! What are you doing here?! I haven't seen you since you stopped going to the school of medicine we both went to."

"And here you are administrating a hospital when you are only 3 years my senior", I said and he laughed and he said, "What brings you here? Seriously."

I explained to him everything and he said, "Of course I'll accept you except as Nurse Im and Nurse Kim said, you'll stay mostly on the front desk."

I nodded and he said, "I think you should get going now so that you can meet your fellow front desk mates."

I nodded and Jennie and Nayeon told me the directions as we left his office and then I went to the front desk and I was met with two very welcoming faces.

The first one was a soft looking man and he smiled and his soft voice practically showed that he was just someone who was not very outspoken and clearly had a more feminine and soft side and he spoke, "Hello, Jennie and Nayeon told me about you, you must be Nara, I'm Jungwoo and I'll be one of the people who man the front desk with you."

Then the woman beside him who was much smaller but had a bright smile said, "Hello there I'm Wendy, I'm helping out here too."

I smiled at them and then I took a seat in between them and then they started explaining to me what I was supposed to do in the front desk and all the procedures.

Then we started work and then I saw Nayeon message me two numbers and said, "Call any of the two if us if you're in trouble."

I nodded and The three of us started work and we were getting a lot of patients today. It's like when we finished entertaining one, another one came and more and more and more.

I was going crazy thinking about not giving Nara an actual funeral. I told the boys of what I planned to do and none of them agreed with me but they still let me go and let me go to the hospital to get her body back. I just have to find that nurse I left her with.

What's her name?

Ah yes, Nurse Kim was what I remembered. Then I went to our black Sedan and I sped off to the hospital which was in the edge of the city.

I didn't realize how hectic a hospital was and I was starting to get the hang of it as more patients came and went by and I felt my hands going numb with all the writing we were doing.

So far neither Nayeon nor Jennie called me for assistance and we were about to go to our break when a man rushed to me and I wasn't looking at him and he said, "Excuse me miss but I'm looking for a nurse here, Nurse Kim."

I nodded and I looked at him and his eyes widened in shock when he saw me and he said, "N-nara?"

He looked so familiar, as if it felt like this wasn't the first time we met and then he said, "Nara, it's me, Seokjin, don't you remember me?"

I shook my head and he grabbed my hand and said, "Stop playing games with me Nara, you're just avoiding me cause you're mad at me."

I winced in pain at his tight grip and I said, "Let go! You're hurting me!"

Then Jungwoo tried to remove his grip while saying, "Sir, please calm down, you're hurting the staff of this establishment."

"Come on Nara, you can't seriously just forget about me, you're just playing around", he said.

I finally removed his grip and I was about to say, "You're craz-," but I was cut off but my head hurting like crazy making me fall o the ground then the man who says he was Seokjin said, "Nara! Fuck! Someone help!"

I was able to mutter to him, "Language!"

Then everything went black.
