Sorry. First of all.
For ughh making the ending tragic. His death was long written even before the war started. The ending draft had been saved for a long time.
I gave off some clues to the end at chapter 18 im weak, leaving midoriya as sort of a narrator from the future having the sense of loneliness in his words. I wanted to prepare you guys at least for what would happen.
The story could go on happily but the worlds needed to progress more. Todoroki was just a sacrifice, his death was taken as the first step of unity.
Midoriya will of course struggle, out of the chapters as he will forever miss what's long gone but he continues on. He's next goal is to write that book.
I hope that you arent disappointed though even if maybe you like it maybe you don't I think this ending fits in perfectly.
A strong finish for the fam.
