"70.32 is your change" the cashier said to me as she handed me my money and I grabbed the bag off of the counter before walking out of the shoe store with my phone still to my ear
"I promise you I'm good baby" I assured him for the 5th time within the 10 minute phone call we were currently in
"Where Elena at?"
"She's over at the pretzel stand getting a drink"
"Why her bald ass head left you? I told you ion wantchu walking by yourself"
"Kentrell you acting like I'm a baby. I can walk by myself"
"Who you on the phone with?" Elena asked as she walked up to me sipping from her drink
"Kentrell" I mouthed out to her and she rolled her eyes before snatching my phone from me and put it to her ear
"We only been out for two hours and you've called damn near 12 times already. Noel gotta go, BYE!" He said into the phone before hanging up and I looked at her like she was crazy
"What the hell Lena!? Now you know Kentrell gone kill you"
"So. He gotta chill out. He been calling you nonstop all day"
"He's just being overprotective right now" I shrugged while we started to walk again "especially cause of what happened the other day"
"That whole thing with that Eric boy?"
I nodded while my phone started to ring in her hand but she just declined it and turned it off
"Well Kentrell know I won't let nothing happen to you. Now he needs to relax"
"Well I can't help my man loves me" I shrugged with a grin and she rolled her eyes
"Y'all two make me sick"
"Oh please.. help me think of some more stuff to get my nephew for Christmas"
"I thought you were done with Christmas shopping for Kaleb?"
"Done?" I asked while looking at her and Elena burst out laughing
"Noel girl.. you got kaleb spoiled"
"Cause that's my baby.. just wait till Kentrell and I have our first baby"
"I already know you gone be extra but Kentrell... whew. And don't let it be a boy, I can see it now"
"He's so determined that our first baby will be a boy but I think I'll only have girls" I told her while she sucked through the straw on her drink
"Well only one of y'all gone be right"
"You right..... and Whatchu over there slurping on?"
"They got this new pina colada drink at the pretzel stand. Try it"
Lena held her cup out to me and I shook my head "I'm good. Ion know where ya mouth been"
"Oh bitch.. you should be the last one to talk, especially how you and Kentrell be talking"
"Trust and believe, my mouth be all on my nigga"
"Nasty asses"
I smiled and snatched my phone back from her "now hand me my shit cause knowing Kentrell, he probably on his way to the mall to kill the both of us"
"He ain't gone touch me"
I laughed a little while turning my phone back on then looked into Victoria's Secret. They had another sale going on again so I grabbed Elena's hand and pulled into the store.
"I swear you come in here for every sale"
"I wouldn't be me if I missed one"
I went straight to the panties and pushed through the group of girls hunting through my size. My eyes immediately laid on a pair of burgundy laced panties so I grabbed them before anybody else could
"These are cute. I might have to put these on for my boo"
"Make that his Christmas gift. He'll be satisfied" Elena responded and I laughed
"I already got his Christmas gift. I think he'll enjoy that more than this right here" I told her and she arched up here eyebrow
"And what is that?"
"Issa surprise" I smiled while looking through the panties some more. After a while Elena ended up looking through them as well so we spent another 20 minutes before we finished and went to stand in line to check out
"Ain't that ol girl that used to fuck with Kentrell in high school?" I could hear somebody behind me say but I just continued to look forward and ignore them because our turn was up next
"I can take whoever's next" the cashier said and I walked up to her, sitting my stuff on the counter. As I watched her ring the stuff up, I felt a hand grab onto my arm rough so I quickly turned and saw Kentrell standing there
"What the hell!? Don't do that"
"Fuck that. Why you hung up on me?"
"It wasn't even me. Elena hung up on you" I explained while I pointed over at Elena, who was getting her stuff rung up now
"Yeah I hung up on you" Elena told him and he pointed his finger at her
"I should beatcho ass"
She made a face at him and he looked down at the stuff I was buying
"You and this damn pink"
"You don't complain when I have em on"
He shook his head and picked up a pair that she already rung up and smiled "these my new favorite pair"
"Of course you'd like the laced ones"
"It'll be 59.84"
While I reached into my purse, Kentrell went into his pocket and pulled out some money and handed it to the girl. He also was shockingly nice enough to pay for Elena's stuff and she looked at him surprised
"Awe you do love meeee" Elena said with a smile as she went to hug Kentrell but he pushed her back
"Fuck off me. Ugly ass"
"Here you go ma'am. Have a good day" the girl said with a smile while handing me the bag. Once I grabbed it from her, Kentrell looked at the other bags I had
"What else you brought"
"Oh this..." I looked down at the bags then back up at him "this is for Kaleb. I got him some clothes and stuff"
"You got him some shoes too?" Kentrell asked and I shook my head
"No. I got a pair of filas"
"Them orthopedic shoes?"
I smacked my lips and cocked my head to the side
"Don't play my shoes"
"Them shoes played they self"
I stuck my finger up at him and he grabbed my hand, pulling me out of the store with Elena following behind us
