After months of persuading and getting Kentrell to understand, he finally agreed to let sherhonda meet Kemoni. As excited as I was, I was also nervous because Kentrell and sherhonda haven't spoken to each other since they got into it but Kentrell agreed to be mature for kemoni's sake
"Who the hell knocking on my door like that?" I could hear sherhonda yell from the other side of the door and Kentrell smacked his lips, making me look at him
"For Kemoni.... please"
He sighed and the door cracked open. Sherhonda poked her head out and froze when she saw us
"What y'all doing here?"
Kentrell was about to turn and walk off but I grabbed his arm
"Kentrell...."
He stopped and Sherhonda opened the door wider, standing in it. Her eyes went down to the car seat and I huffed
"Now listen. I don't know what y'all two got going on but it needs to get fixed because I want my daughter to have both sides of her family in her life. I never had that growing up and that's one of the things I've always wanted for my kids. Now sherhonda, last time we came over here you said some hurtful stuff to Kentrell and although you're his momma, you really need to apologize because everything you said was completely wrong. Kentrell does so much for me and his daughter and you wouldn't know that because you don't wanna see the good he does. All you to focused on is what he did in the past but you gotta let that go"
"But Kentrell-"
"I know how Kentrell is sherhonda and trust me, he heard everything that I'm telling you. Y'all just need to learn to get along because I don't want Kemoni coming back to her daddy years down the line wondering why you wasn't around and why y'all didn't get along. And Kentrell no matter what happened, that's still your momma. How would you feel if Kemoni treated me or you the way you treat your momma"
He just shook his head and sherhonda just looked at me. Both of them knew I was right
"Now what y'all both need to do is apologize to each other and let whatever this is gooo"
"Ion know about all of that" Kentrell muttered while he looked down at kemoni's carseat that he carried and I rolled my eyes
"As long as Kentrell learn to stop being damn disrespectful I don't see a problem"
"See I-"
"Trell!" I cut him off and looked between the both of them "so can y'all finally let whatever this is go and get along at least for Kemoni?"
"I guess I can do that" sherhonda looked at me then we both looked at Kentrell
"Only cause I love you" he told me and sherhonda smacked her lips and I smiled
"Aweeee yes! Now how about y'all hug it out"
The look both of them gave me was almost funny as hell. Instead Kentrell just pushed past me and sherhonda, going into the house and I shook my head while she let me in as well. Kentrell sat the car seat down on the chair in the living room and Kemoni was wide awake looking around.
He picked her up and she laid her head on his shoulder while looking over his shoulder at sherhonda, who was walking into the living room
"Oh hell! She look just like her damn daddy"
"Tell me about it. Imagine waking up to two kentrells"
Kemoni just kept her head on Kentrell's shoulder looking at sherhonda.
"Come on lil girl" sherhonda said as she held her hands out towards Kemoni, reaching for her. Kemoni just looked at her up until sherhonda got close enough and she actually went to her
"Now how you go to sherhonda with no problem but I'm your whole momma"
"Cause she already know what it is" sherhonda boasted and Kemoni grabbed onto her hair, pulling it a little bit
"Hell no. Somebody get this child"
Kemoni started smiling and Kentrell grabbed her from sherhonda, kissing her cheek and smiled as well
"I taught you well"
