Tips and tricks for that time of the month~
✿ Cramps:
By far the WORST part of periods hands down, especially if you have endometriosis like meeee.
* I highly recommended investing in some sort of heating pad/water bottle. These are LIFESAVERS when it comes to cramps.
* Try to reduce the intake of salt and caffeine, these make cramps worse.
* Take pain medicine in the morning to fight off cramps that will come later in the day
* Some foods that help with cramps are Bananas, Peanut butter, yogurt, fish, pineapples, and nuts.
* When cramps get too bad to try and take a nap.✿ Clothing:
* While on your period it's smart to wear dark pants just Incase you bleed through.
* Try wearing yoga pants, leggings, or just loose-fitting clothing
* To get blood stains out of clothes use hydrogen peroxide and/or cold water✿ Female Products:
* Never sleep with a tampon in!! This can result in toxic shock!!!
* While sleeping always wear a pad. Also, make sure to move it more to the back of your underwear to avoid leaking.
* Always have an 'emergency kit' in your backpack/purse
* Pads changed at LEAST every 6 hours
* Tampons changed AT LEAST every 3 hours✿ Track your cycle!
Make sure to track your period so you know exactly when to expect it. I highly recommend the P tracker app. It allows you to track not only your cycle but your moods, symptoms, and thoughts!
