Chapter 51: Food Fight!

"Stalking her won't make her like you again." Logan said.

Severus stepped out from behind a statue.

"I wanted to talk to you-" he began.

"Why? Maya already told me that you tried to get her to reason with Lily and that didn't work."

"I'm not here to try and rekindle my relationship with Lily." Severus said.

Logan relaxed a bit.

"Then why?" She questioned.

"I-I was wondering if you'd do me a favor."

"I owe you nothing."

"I know." He sighed, "But if you ever felt anything but hatred towards me, if we were ever friends, please promise me something."

"I don't hate you, I'm just disappointed in you." Logan said.

"I know, but please promise me that you'll look after Lily."

"What?" She asked, puzzled.

"Please promise me that you will look after her and never break her heart the way I did." Severus pleaded.

Logan looked into his eyes and saw his desperation.

"Why?"

"Because I love her."

"... I promise." Logan said.

"Thank you." Severus breathed, "I should probably go now..."

"You have a choice, Severus." Logan said, "We all do."

He nodded once before turning around and walking away. Logan sighed and started walking towards the Great Hall where her three friends sat.

"Logan!" Maya cheered when she saw her.

"Hey A Jacks."

"Why did you stay behind?" Lily questioned her, eyes full of curiosity.

Logan looked back at her and in that moment, she swore she would do everything within her power to protect her red haired friend.

"Nothing." Logan said, "I just wanted to check on something."

Lily didn't seem to believe her, but she let it slide with a nod.

"So, what did I miss?" Logan asked brightly.

"We were just talking about crushes." Maya whispered, "I think I like Hollanby."

"Seventh year from Slytherin?"

"Yeah!"

"I was telling her she should totally ask him out!" Lily added in a whisper.

Maya looked at Logan for her opinion.

"Go for it!" She said.

Maya grinned.
