Chapter 5

After threatening the kid so that my identity wouldn't be on the line, I left to go get some tea from a caffee, that's when the feeling washed over me, someone's watching me- no, it's a two? Maybe three people.

I look around, no one to be seen. I start getting a bit worried, not that I was scared, I was just hoping it wasn't anyone who knew about me, since I'm starting to get a bit more popular.

However people can't exactly notice Gods, that's why I'm worried, these things watching me aren't human.

After a while, I just got tired of worrying, and walked away. Once I got in an area where there wasn't any people or bystanders to catch the attention of, I took a deep breath.

"You can come out now, why have you been watching me, and who exactly are you?" I asked with my signature of a smirk present on my face.

I wait a little while, and finally, I got an answer, 3 people come out, it was that Hiyori girl, the God Yato, and his regalia, Yukine.

"Oh it's you guys! Missed me so much you decided to stalk me, for about what? 20 minutes, I've got to say, work on you stalking skills" I say with a smirk at the end.
"Hey! I have great stalking skills thank you very much!" Yato said.
"Sure you do, bud" I say with a grin.
"Alright, enough! God Y/n! We have seen your ways of wishes, and we want that to change! Into a less extreme version of the God of mischief, you don't have to be alone, in the shadows! You can be with us! It's okay to not like your job!" Hiyori says, then she makes a speech about friendship or something.
I chuckle.
"But I like my job, sure I get lack of sleep, sure I have to spend hours thinking and hacking and making more than 60 plans for one job each, but the results are always what I take pride on rather than the work I put into it" I say.
"You remind me of someone, have we met before? Ahh, where have we met?" The God Yato says.

That's when I lost it, Hiyori was arguing to the point where she was yelling-
"How can you like such a job that physically and mentally hurt other people a-"
Then Yato keeps asking himself where we had met before, even though I don't have any memories of us at all but then again I even can't remember what I ate yesterday.
"Man why do I have to be here? Can't you just-"
Then that blondie, Yukine keeps whining about being here, so slowly I walk away from the scene, my patience is not endless for stuff such as these.

Of course, they caught me, and I was forced to stay there, I listened to their chatting, my face dropped more every second of it.

"Okay! I've decided! You'll stay with us until I can remember who exactly you are to me!" He declared making everyone stay silent, including me.
"What!? You don't even have a shrine yet, and you're already inviting someone else to stay with us!?" Yukine yells at Yato as he grabs his scarf, and pulls him in a back and fowards motion.
"No thanks, I'm more of an lone wolf kind of guy!" I say with a wink.
"Then we'll just have to follow you around until I remember!" Yato said, half unconscious because of Yukine.
"Oh yeah!? How about you work instead of inviting strangers!"

I sigh, I look at Yato's neck.

"Those are some nasty blights, you must be a naughty regalia, huh ,Yukine?" I give him a teasing smirk at him, making his peach eyes widen.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about"
All of a sudden Yato flinched, I'm assuming his lie caused another blight, I feel bad for him.
"Anyway, I guess I'll accept this offer of your's, it doesn't seem like I have much of a choice anyway, huh?"
"W-wait! Really!?" Hiyori asks in disbelief.
"Well, it's not like I got anything better to do anyway" I say as I shrugged.

I was sure that Yato wouldn't get anywhere with remembering anything, since I honestly can't remember what I did yesterday, so maybe we did meet at some point, either way, I've got a bad feeling about this, "I'm going to try to remember!", thing.

I yawn, and after a while of walking Hiyori decides to let Yukine sleep in her house, Yato and I go against the idea, I know blights hurt like hell.

"HmmMmmMM, I don't think so ya nasty, who knows what you'll be doing while she's sleeping" I say.
"STOP THINGKING DIRTY THOUGHT YUKINE, ITS HURTING LIKE HELL"

At the end, Hiyori did end up bringing Yukine with her, and I could only look at Yato in pity, for the amount of times he'll get blighted. I sigh, and we start walking to a shrine to sleep.

"So, what exactly do you do?" Yato asks me as we lie on the seats of a shrine.

"I do jobs like embarrassing someone, or maybe taking someone to jail, framing, ect. Very rarely do I kill or hurt mortals myself though" I say.

"Most Gods would be sleeping or resting, how come you don't look the slightest bit sleepy?" he yawns at the end of his question.

"I stay up for 2 months, between jobs, all I do is plan, I spend time making 3-40 plans each job, because of the different scenarios. Not that I can't control the situation, I make sure to look at the people present during my job" I answer.

"I don't get what you mean" he says.
"Well, remember when you saw me arrest this guy?" I asked.
"Yeah, I remember that"

"Well, each and everyone of the bystanders there were actually highschool queen bees, they didn't have a problem talking about someone in front of their faces, they usually gossiped when they had a chance, I made sure that each of them were in that place, at the very same time, that women with that guy is actually his fiancee, so I had to make sure she was gone before I made a move to go to the restroom, that's why I needed the queen bees to be there to chase her out using words, that lady had anxiety. If she did end up staying, I would have to use plan 16 of that small part, which was to try and get away from her then have the man chase after me, leaving the broken hearted fiancee behind and continuing on with the 4th phase of the plan" I say.
"I've heard rumors, but you remind me of my old self, ahhhhhh, where have we met????"

I stare at him blankly,
"Who knows?"
