It's been a week since everything was back to normal for Avneil.
They start their day with their cuddling sessions and end it with their endless talks. Finally, things had started going in a better direction.
But one fine morning the sweet talks were replaced by a little struggle by Neil. He was trying to convince Avni to come to office with him but Avni was rejecting his offer.
N: Avni...
A: Nahi. I said no.
N: But why?
A: Because I don't want to. I'm happy being a housewife.
N: But Avni.. You're talented, educated. Then why?
A: I just want to concentrate on us Neil. After a long time, finally things are going the right way. I don't want to think about other things. Sometimes I feel that all this is a dream and it'll suddenly end and we'll be back to square one.
She completed with tears flowing down her eyes.
Neil felt even more guilty for what he did.
He stepped forward and cupped her face.
N: I'm sorry. I promise that this dream is never going to end.
A: Promise?
N: Pinki promise.
And Avni giggled.
A: We're not kids Neil.
N: Right. We're adults. So let's do something that adults do.
He said naughtily.
Avni squinted her eyes.
A: Mr. Khanna behave!
N: This is the only way I can behave, when you're around.
He said pulling her closer.
A: Aren't you getting late for office?
She said putting her arms around his neck.
N: Ummm... I am. But I can skip it. You know I haven't taken any leave all these years. So I can definitely take one now.
A: Achcha!
N: hmmmm.....
Neil pulled her more closer and brought his face closer to hers. Just as they were about to kiss the landline rang.
Neil made an irritated expression whereas Avni started laughing loudly.
She pushed him and picked up the call.
A: Hello........
...
Stress lines get formed on Avni's forehead.
A: But....
...
A: Aap jaanti hain, it's not possible.
...
A: Hello... Hello!!!
Then she looked up at Neil and gave him a nervous look.
N: What happened?
A: Neil, vo...
N: Avni, I'm listening OK. Relax aur batao.
A: Bebe called.
N: OK..
A: She wants us to...
N: To...?
A: To go back to your dad's house.
Listening to this Neil got angered.
N: Impossible!
He hissed and went out of the room leaving Avni behind in a chaos. On one side it was Bebe and the other side it was Neil.
