first night

hayeon woke up to mira's cries. she reached over to the bedside table to turn on the lamp, but ended up knocking a few things off. "ah, shit!" she whispered as her phone hit the carpet under the bed

jacob had gone to his home next door after giving the hopeless adults some tips about taking care of toddlers and parenting (she didn't question it).

neither of them wanted to leave the other with mira, both of them are inexperienced but two minds are better than one, right?

the sleeping arrangements were a total mess. chanhee didn't want to make hayeon uncomfortable by being in the same bed as her and hayeon didn't want to be alone with a baby, and chanhee would be clueless about what to do.

which leads to where they are now. chanhee is on the far left side of the mattress while hayeon is on the right side. they created a pillow fort to act as a make-shift cradle in between them; that way, both of them can be close to mira without breaking into each other's personal space.

they had thankfully gotten through the first night peacefully, only waking up every once in a while when the sleeping baby whimpered... or farted- and don't you dare underestimate the power of a baby's bomb.
