Bucky's POV
The Winter Soldier flipped his knife in his hand, getting ready to follow orders. His mission backed into the wall, breathing heavily
"B-Buck it's me, (y/n)" her name sounded familiar. He stopped flipping my knife. Do I know her?
"Don't listen to her. Just follow orders" He heard from his earpiece . He shook his head
"I don't know you" he looked her in the eyes and could tell she was scared, but she hid it well
"Buck You don't have to do this. This isn't you! You are James Buchanan Barnes! Not the Winter Soldier!" He stopped. His mind buzzing as memories poked around his head.
"She's lying. Don't listen to anything she says. Now finish the job" he took a deep breath and tried to clear his mind, then charging at her. She ducked out of the way and kicked him back. He tried again but she kicked the knife out of his hand and punched him in the face
"I'm so sorry Bucky" she spun and kicked his face hard, making him stumble to the floor. Then, she ran over to the one way glass. Bucky got up and ran towards her, then threw his metal fist at her face but she ducked, causing him to shatter the glass. He stepped back from the showering glass, an alarm now blaring as a red light filled the room. He tried to think straight and looked around for her, but couldn't find her anywhere
Men in the floor covered in glass and bruises, he grabbed one by the collar
"Where did she go?" He asked through gritted teeth
The man weakly pointed down the long hallway, the lights flickering red.
"Don't let her get away!" He ripped off his ear piece and went to the weapons closet, to find several weapons missing. Shit. He grabbed a gun and ran down the hallway, ready to finish his mission
He had to finish it.
It doesn't matter if he knew her.
It was what he was made for.
