You let your bag drop to the floor and sank into your bed, glad to finally be home. Well, not exactly home. It was the first time you were on a mission away from your husband, Tony and your 5 year old child, (k/n).
You sighed deeply and closed your eyes, not bothering to change out of the missions clothes. You just wanted to go back to see your beautiful family, but you knew you had to be on this mission or many peoples lives could be lost
A ding came from the computer on your desk, and you groaned but got up to see what it was. You sat at the desk and opened your laptop to find a video message from Tony.
You instantly were in a better mood and clicked the video on.
Tony was on screen fixing the camera with (k/n) on his lap. (K/n) was laughing and pulling on his dads shirt as Tony tried to get him to calm down
"Alright buddy, say hi to mommy, say hi mommy" Tony cooed, waving at the camera. (K/n) copies him
"Hi mommy!" He said in his sweet little voice, making your heart melt. Tony gave him a toy for him to play with and smiled at the camera
"Hi Sweetie. So far everything has been going great. Really, we've been having the best time. You have nothing to worry about. Well... (k/n) almost set one of my suits on fire but you'll laugh when you hear the story I promise" You smiled and wished you could be there with them
"(K/n) drew something he wanted to show you." Tony held up a paper with crayon doodles all over it, "see this is Mommy, and this is me- And I look very handsomely I do say so myself - and this is Uncle Steve" he pointed at stick figures on the paper and you chuckled at how adorable it looked
"Anyways, It's time for bed so I'm going to tuck this little guy in." Tony lifted (k/n) in his arms and walked closer to the camera
"We really miss you over here, and we miss your cooking too." You laughed at them and smiled
"Love you mommy!" (K/n) said enthusiastically
"Love you (y/n). We'll call tomorrow. Bye" Tony blew a kiss at the camera and then the screen went dark
"Love you too" you whispered at the screen before closing the laptop gently and heading to bed. Just a few more days before seeing those two dorks that you loved so much.
