Tony ~ Recruit

It was a busy day for the Avengers. A new recruit was coming in, some old friend of Natasha. Everyone was in the conference room, getting ready for her to arrive. Tony was talking to Steve about getting her settled in.

"-and after we welcome her and everything you'll take her on the tour" Tony finished, checking something off on his phone

"The tour?" Steve asked as he skimmed through some files about the new recruit

"You know," Tony said, taking a seat, "you gotta show her around, so she doesn't get lost. Maybe even show her to your room" he said with a wink, which earned him a shove from Steve.

"I don't think you boys know how powerful she is," Natasha said, walking over to them from across the room

"How bad could she possibly be?" Tony asked, leaning back on his chair and propping his feet up on the table. He didn't understand why they needed a new recruit, the team was already super strong. The only reason he decided to allow her to join the team was because she was a girl, but then Nat told him she'll kick him where the sun don't shine if he lays a finger on her.

"Don't be too cocky. She could tear down mountains with her bare hands you know. Hell, she could probably make this whole building crumble without breaking a sweat! Believe me Stark, you do not want to get on her bad side. She could kill you in a second, with elegance and beauty and grace and- "

She stopped speaking abruptly. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to look at the door. It was her.

She stumbled clumsily into the room. As she did so, a pink blush of embarrassment tinted her cheeks. She brushed her dark hair out of her face and set her bags down

"(Y/n)" Natasha said with a warm smile, hugging the recruit tightly. (Y/n) hugged her back

Tony's jaw dropped. From what Natasha has just told her, this was definitely not what he was expecting.

"Telekinesis powers," He said, stepping forward. Everyone's eyes turned to him, including (y/n)'s, "that's what you do, right?"

"Basically," She answered, stepping forward too. She raised her eyebrow, "Need a demonstration?"

"Please," Tony said, a smirk tugging at his lips

(Y/n) looked a round the room, then took a pen  from the desk and held it In her palm. She closed her eyes and before Tony could react the pen flew out of her hand and hit the wall, millimeters away from his head.

A chorus of gasps went around the room, and (y/n) opened her eyes and grinned. Tony looked at the pen, which was deep into the wall. He smirked and looked back over at       (y/n), who was introducing herself to everyone else. He was impressed, and wanted to know more about her

"I'll show you around-" Steve started, but stopped talking when Tony stepped on his foot.

"Steve don't you have that research you have to do?" Tony asked innocently while Steve frowned at him. "I'll show (y/n) around the facility. You can go work" he gave him a big grin and turned around, wrapping his arm around (y/n)'s shoulders, but before he could take her out the door Natasha pulled her away

"Maybe I should show her around," Natasha said, smiling sweetly at her. She picked up her bags and they both left

"If you want her to like you Tony, maybe you should try being less cocky" Steve said, gathering his stuff and heading for the door

Tony sighed. He never thought he could like someone so fast. I mean it usually took him at least a week to actually get along with someone. But she was different, somehow. He didn't know exactly why, but he wanted to be around her.

He wanted her to like him.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, I hope this makes up for it. I got the idea from a writing prompt I saw on tumblr somewhere so hope you guys like it!
