Steve creeps around in the darkness, using it as added stealth as he makes his way around the not-so-secret-anymore HYDRA facility. He finds a window and silently pops it out of its frame, gently setting it down before hoping inside, landing on the floor soundlessly.
He turns around and the lights flick on, revealing 3 armed guards. He grabs his shield and gets ready to fight, but before he can do that, all 3 of the guards heads twist to a strange angle and a sharp snap is heard before they all seamlessly fall to the floor.
Steve looks around the room searching for what happened, what did that. But it all happened so fast he wasn't sure what he was looking for
"Who-" he yelled into the darkness, but a hand covered his mouth right as two guards walked past, talking in Russian and not noticing the 3 bodies on the floor
"If you wasn't to live, stop talking" the hand was cautiously removed from his mouth and he spun around to find a woman wearing all black and a mask covering half of her face. (kinda like Bucky's mask but not really) Her bright (e/c) eyes shone in the moonlight as her long (h/c) rested in her shoulders. She had a determined look on her face
"Who are you?" Steve whispered, but she shook her head
"That's not important right now. But I'm guessing you're looking for the files on the new weapon HYDRA is developing?" She whispered, and Steve didn't say anything but the surprised look on his face told her she was right
She smirked. Or he thought she did, because the corners of her eyes crinkled up. She extended her arms and Steve noticed she was carrying a file with some really official looking Russian writing plastered on it
"How did you get this?" Steve took the file and sure enough, it was the weapons file.
"Again, not important. But what is important is getting out of here" she looked down the dark hallway to check for any guards coming their way
"Why should I trust you?" Steve Asked, and she looks dat him
"Well I'm not saying you have to, but you probably have a better chance of living if you do" Steve thought for a moment. This mystery girl had appeared out of no where and was offering to help him. How did he know if she was working for HYDRA?
"Alright. Lead the way" both of them silently crept down the hall way, and she led them to a large empty room with plenty of windows to escape through
"I'm sure you can handle it from here. And I'm sorry in advance" she grabbed a small box from her pocket, and before Steve could figure it it was a bomb she threw it at the floor, Making all the windows shatter and Steve took cover as she jumped out of the now gone windows
"See you around!" She yelled, but before she disappeared her mask fell next to where Steve was hiding. Steve Picked it up and examined it, finding small writing on the inside

He smiled to himself. One day he would find her again.
