It was a Saturday morning and you were making yourself some cereal for breakfast . You were wearing your pajamas, which was one of Tony's shirts that you stole that was big on you and some comfy shorts. You were ready to spend your whole day relaxing after yesterday's mission.
Right as you sat down on the couch the doors to the living room burst open and Tony walked in with Thor
"I'm telling you! I could totally do it!" Tony insisted as they walked to the couch you were sitting at
"There is no way you could possibly do that Tony." Thor said in his booming voice
Tony sat down next to you and Thor sat across from you both
"Do what?" You asked, not bothering to shoo them away
"Tony here believes he can create a hammer identical mine that only he can lift." Thor explained to you
"I dont believe I can. I know I can. I'm a genius!" Tony boasted. You rolled your eyes
"Alright then genius. I bet you can't make one in 3 days time" you dared him. He smirked at you
"Whats in it for me?" He asked with a half smirk
"Well for one you'll get a cool hammer like Thor. And for another if you do manage to make it..." you thought for a moment, and then thought of the perfect thing
"You get 7 minutes in heaven with me. You like that game right?" you finished with a mischivious smirk. His eyebrows shot up and he smirked wider
"Now we're talking!" He exclaimed
"But," You said "if you don't make it in time, you have to get me cupcakes from that bakery in France when we went on that mission last week" you told him
"Do we have a deal Stark?" You asked, extending your arm
"Oh you're on (l/n)" he said, shaking your hand.
"By the way, is that my shirt you're wearing?" He asked you raising one eyebrow
"Actually, it is. I stole it from your room a while ago. Hope you don't mind" you said with a smug grin. Before he could answer, Clint and Natasha walked into the room
"What's going on?" Clint asked
"Lady (y/n) just made a bet with Tony" Thor explained
"Interesting. What are you guys betting?" Natasha Asked
"If I can replicate Thor's hammer in 3 days, I get 7 minutes in heaven with Witchy over here" he said. You rolled your eyes at the nikname. You hated it but he just wouldn't drop it
"Hey where's Steve at?" You asked. You hadn't seen him around
"He's showing around the new guy" Clint told you, eating a sandwich
"New guy? What new guy?" You asked, turning around on the couch to face him
"Y'know. Bucky. He's joining the team today" Natasha continued, stealing the other half of Clint's sandwich and eating it
"Who's Bucky?" You asked them
"You've heard of the Winter Soldier right? Well that's him" Bruce said, coming into the room
"What? An assassin is joining the team?" You asked them
"Oh yeah and you were like a dog trainer before you joined" Tony Said sarcastically
"Why does no one tell me these things? I have to go change-" you were cut off by Steve coming into the room with a tall man with brown shoulder length hair and ice blue eyes.
"Everyone, I'd like you to meet my best friend and newest member of the team, Bucky Barnes" Steve introduces him
"Steve this isn't a game show you don't have to introduce me like that" Bucky said scratching the back of his head
Bucky seemed friendly and funny, plus he was pretty good looking. You couldn't believe you're first impression on him would be in your pajamas.
"Ughhhh Im in my pajamas I can't introduce myself like this!" You whispered to Tony
Steve introduced Bucky to everyone around the room, and they were nearing you and Tony
"Ok take off your shirt. I'm sure he won't notice what your wearing if you do that" Tony whispered back. You hit him with one of the cushions, but he grabbed another one and threw it back at you. Then he got up and ran out the room
"Anthony Stark you get right back here!" You yelled after him. You got up, not caring what you were wearing anymore. Everyone in the room, including Bucky, turned their attention to you
"And this would be (y/n) (l/n)" Steve told Bucky
"Hi, I'm (y/n). Welcome to the Avengers. For your first training lesson I'm having you chase after Tony with me. Ok? Ok." You said quickly, not bothering to wait for a response. You grabbed him by the arm and you both ran down the hallways, laughter echoing through the facility
And that's how you met your best friend, and crush.
