Bruce ~ Mistake

Bruce walked into the living room, going to make himself some coffee. It was 2 in the morning but he was working on something far too important to wait until daylight. He got his coffee and walked across the living room back to the lab

While in the living room, he heard someone on the couch. He went over and found (y/n) fast asleep on the couch, with papers scattered around her and her laptop on the coffee table. Bruce smiled at how peaceful you looked and picked up your papers, putting them neatly next to your laptop.

Then he grabbed a blanket and put it over you, to keep you warm. You snuggled into the blankets and continued sleeping peacefully.

Bruce leaned in to kiss your cheek, but you shifted slightly and he ended up pressing his lips to yours. You awoke startled as he scrambled back, almost falling over the table

"Bruce what- did you kiss me?" You sat up and tried to wake up fully

"N-no I mean yes but it was a mistake! You see I was aiming for your cheek but then you moved and well we kissed" he rubbed the back of his neck and his cheeks turned red. You blushed too

"Oh" You didn't say anything else and you both stayed there awkwardly before bruce spoke

"I'm sorry again I- I'll go now" he turned to leave "Goodnight (y/n)"

He left you to sleep, and you were too tired and shocked to go to your room. So you slept on the couch that night, your dreams consisting mostly of Bruce Banner

You woke up earlier than usual to pick up your stuff and take it to your room. As you were walking down the hallway you saw Clint, and he gave you a weird smile

"What?" You asked him

"You enjoyed your little smoochie smooch with Bruce last night?" You face went red and you got stepped closer to him hoping no one heard

"How do you know about that?" He smirked at you and you glared at him

"I have eyes and ears everywhere" he started to walk off but you grabbed his arm

"You were in the vents again weren't you" he didn't deny it so you took it as a yes

"It was a mistake anyways. It didn't mean anything" you stepped past him, but he wasn't done yet

"If that's what you want to believe"

After leaving your things in your room you went to the kitchen to make yourself some breakfast, and found Steve and Sam drinking coffee at the counter

"Good morning boys" you went over to the cabinets and got some cereal out

"Morning" They said in unison. The drank their coffee without talking, glancing at you occasionally

You sat down and poured milk into your cereal, then took a spoonful into your mouth

"So are you going to tell us about your make out session with Bruce or is that something you can only discuss with Natasha?"

You choked on your cereal and looked over the the giggling boys

"How to you guys know about that?"

"Oh come on, everyone knows you and Bruce have a thing for each other" Steve said

"We do not!" You said, but your blushing cheeks said otherwise "and there's nothing to discuss, it was a mistake"

"Alright then, but maybe it was destiny! Maybe you two were meant to be together!" Sam exagereted.

There was a pause before you spoke

"You really think so?" Trying not to sound too hopeful. "Ok fine, yes I do like Bruce but do you really think he likes me?"

"Of course he does! Man you are so oblivious" Sam Said, and you smiled to yourself at the thought of Bruce liking you

"I gotta go" you stood up and rushed down to the lab, to confess your crush on Bruce.
