Loki ~ War (2)

Time for the second phase of your master plan. After the water balloon fight the day before, Loki and you spent the rest of the afternoon just... talking. about anything. And it was fun. You hadn't realized how much you missed that. But you had to get back in the game.

So that morning you put on a flowy yellow dress and got ready for your "date". once you were ready, you went to the kitchen and pretended to be bummed

When you saw Loki entering the kitchen, you scowled at him and straightened up, pretending to be embarrassed. When he saw you and what you were wearing, you caught the edge of his mouth curve into a small smile.

"What do you want?" You said grumpily, standing up.

"Why are you so dressed up?" He asked, looking you up and down as he drank a glass of milk

"brunch date," you said, sitting back down with a frown.

"Well you look really excited"

"he cancelled" you said, and you saw that his shoulders seemed to relax.

"Ah," he nodded, leaving the kitchen. You were gonna call after him, you wanted him to take the bait. But you just sat there, annoyed that phase two hadn't worked

But a couple minutes later Loki came back, now dressed in a polo and dress pants. You looked at him confused as he adjusted his sleeves

"Well you're already dressed," he said, offering his arm. You were taken aback. Sure, you wanted him to go after you, but you didn't think he would get changed and take you out. It made you smile, but you had to stay focused

"you want to take me to brunch?" You asked, genuinely surprised

"Is it that surprising that I'm actually a decent person?," he said, and you giggled and took his arm,

"plus, I haven't eaten." He added with a smile, and you noticed how his eyes were fixated on yours. And you noticed how your eyes wouldn't look away from his. But you forced yourself to, and pushed those feelings further down.

After brunch, you couldn't help but smile.

Brunch was nice. It was very nice.

"You're in a good mood," Nat said when she saw you.

"My plans working perfectly" you responded, not exactly lying but it wasn't the reason you were smiling so much.

"Are you really still going to go through with that?" She asked again

"Actually... I'm not sure" you said, which caught Nat by surprise

"Wait... are you- "

"don't say it." You said, hating that it was true.
"It makes it real and if I want to go through with my plan I have to ignore all those butterflies"

"There are butterflies?!" Nat squealed, which made you regret saying anything at all. Just then Steve came into the room, and once he spotted the both of you he came over

"(Y/n) I heard Loki is getting something ready for your prank war. I'd be careful" he said

"Don't worry. I have to perfect plan." You said with a smirk, "and I only need to do one more thing."

"You got it?"

"right here"

"And the heels?"

"Got em" Natasha held a shoe box and a dress in each hand

"You're the best," you said excitedly, taking them from her and giving her a hug
