Jezebels of Bedlam has a fully developed, rich world full of an expansive cast of characters locked in a gnostic battle of good vs evil. Carefully researched and fleshed out details make the dark occult world that is hidden just under the surface of our own feel believable, natural, and utterly terrifying. Angels, demons, and everything in-between inhabits this hidden world and interacts with ours, but there are few stock good/evil guys. Who is on the side of good or evil depends on free will and choice. One of the most fascinating and sometimes tragic parts of the story is watching the consequences of the characters' choices unfold. There's enough horror to keep you up at night, and enough romance and redemption to restore your faith in humanity.
This book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but the sequel (The Daughter's Return) is also available for your binging pleasure.
