An intriguing cross of Wild Western and High Fantasy, Hungry Skies opens with the most unusual duo of two women train-robbers. Their robbery is interrupted by a dragon attacking the train, but that seems to be the least of their problems. Millie's part elf and on shaky terms with her father's clan in the area. And the owner of the main object of their robbery will stop at nothing to get it back.

Gilbert, the banker that insured the missing object, and his cousin Theseus, a Pinkerton detective, are soon on a train westward in hopeful pursuit of reclaiming the purloined goods before Gilbert has to pay out the insurance money. When Gilbert and Theseus arrives in the mysterious town of Scorched Bluffs, they'll meet a sheriff and deputy with many a reason to obfuscate. And who knows what's up with that dragon?
With a nicely realized cast of fascinating characters and lush world-building on the Western and the Fantasy side of the story, this unique genre-blending is sure to please.
