Along the way to the first island, Pepin decided that it would be only be appropriate to cook up that Elephant Tuna to celebrate. This one dish was more than enough to prove his ability as a chef, since every single piece of the fish was made edible by him, even the bones were good enough to eat.

(Zant)"Damn, that was one of the best things I've eaten in years!"

(Pepin)"My pops wasn't no slack in the kitchen, taught me everything I know! He cooked for the King of Fishman Island once."

(Nix)"King Neptune?! How the hell did he do that?!"

(Pepin)"Don't know, he didn't say. Guess he was too excited to give me details about it. But yeah, he got the strongest Sea King he could find, and whipped up a did big enough to feed the whole Royal Family!"

(Terry)"Ain't a fish eatin' other fish like...cannibalism?"

(Barry)"There's plenty of me fish that eat smaller ones, you know. Pepin's a shark, they eat fish, and it's a proven fact that an octopus will eat their own kind."

(Terry)"Oh...that's gross."

On the bow of the ship, Mawgona looked out to see using his Zai-Zai Scope, an ability he uses by turning his eye into metal, and elongating it like a telescope. After awhile, he spotted an island with cacti as large as mountains. According to the list of islands in the Grand Line he was given by the old man, this one was known as Whiskey Peak.

When they landed, the townspeople seemed to have prepared a welcoming party for them.

(Bui Bui)"Huh? Why are they so happy to see us?"

(Mawgona)"Don't know, but I got a bad feeling about this."

Once they got off the ship, the crew was met with a tall man with a saxophone.
