Breaking Point

Part 14 - The Weekend

I woke up in my apartment at around 10:30am. It was a Saturday so, I got up and got changed into a comfy outfit and pulled my hair up into a messy bun. I want planning on doing anything so I went downstairs to the bar and got some breakfast. About 5 minutes into my breakfast Toni came down and joined me. T-"Hey Betts". "Hey T whatcha doin today?" T-"Um, I don't know I'll probably just hang out here maybe clean my apartment" "Yea same, I really have no plans today and my apartment is a hot mess" I said with a giggle.  We finished up our waffles just as Fp was walking in. Fp-"Hey girls" "Hey Fp, whatcha doin today?" Fp-"I'll just hang out around here, Jug is over at Sweetpeas trailer and I think Fangs is there two so they will all be here later" T-"Okay, thanks Mr.Jones" Fp-"You know I would way rather you call me Fp," T-"Yea, I know. So, since the boys are having their time do you want to hang out and have some girl time Betts?" "Sounds like fun, let's go up to my apartment". We made our way to my apartment as Fp was cleaning the bar. When we got up there we went into my bedroom and sat on the bed T-"So, you never told me about your riverdale high friends". "My friend group was popular in riverdale high, everyone knew about us. We were the ideal core four, we had the readheaded football player, the sassy cheerleader from New York, the perfect girl next door, and everyone's favorite gay. They were all my bestfriends and I know that they are all worried sick about me but, if they find out I'm a serpent they might never be friends with me ever again. And even though I was popular. I still got bullied all the time, usually Jordan was there to protect me. But now, he isn't. I'm soooo glad I get to go to your school, I like it so much better than Riverdale High." T-"How is southside high any better than riverdale high?"  "Well for starters southside high doesn't have preppy annoying cheerleaders and football players" T-"Oh well I guess that makes sense" Then there were knocks on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it revealing the boys, "Hey guys, come on in. Have a seat" they all sat on the couch and Toni came to join them. "Do y'all want to watch a movie?" J-"Sure" "What do ya wanna watch?" Sp-"A horror movie" "Nope, not in my apartment" F-"Ugh, your boring" J-"How about a comedy?" Sp-"id be fine with that," "Okay... how about dumb and dumber?" F-"Sounds good". I pressed play on the movie and sat on jugs lap as there was no more room on the couch.

About half way into the movie we hear a Big Bang from downstairs. We all look at each other as I pause the movie. We slowly make our way downstairs with me and jug in front. We get down there and see people in ghoulie jackets walking around and all of the serpents standing still. I don't see Fp anywhere until I hear noises from the basement. "Fangs, Sweets, Toni, stay here Jug, come with me I hear noises in the basement" I whisper. They keep going and me and Jug go down to the basement. We get down there and see a bunch of ghoulies watching the same thing. There were to many of them so I couldn't see. Me and Jug crept around the wall and saw Fp tied to a chair with cuts and bruises, none that looked to bad but they were mainly trying to get him to talk. Malachi saw us and ordered ghoulies to tie us up to. They started asking questions like "where is he?" And we were all confused. Who is he? M-"WHERE IS THE KID?" Fp-"What kid" M-"The masters son?" I just started to cry which I got slapped for. M-"Why are you crying wimp, you know where he is" "Yea, I do know where he is" I earned a punch for that. M-"WHERE IS HE!!!" "IN A CASKET, HES DEAD BECAUSE OF HIM!!ARE YOU HAPPY" Then he shot me without hesitation. Right in the stomach. I screamed in pain. Tallboy (He's good in this story), and some of the other older serpents ran downstairs when they heard the gun. Malachi and his ghoulies all fled the bar. Tallboy untied me while I was screaming and crying and thats when everything went black.

Fp's POV
Betty's screaming stopped as tallboy picked her up. She's dead. I immediately stood in front of Jug because he can't see his girlfriend like this. I told Slurpie to go block the other juniors, especially his son Sweetpea from seeing. They all have such a close bond and I would hate to have them as her like that. Yes, they have seen dead bodies before but, not their bestfriend. Tallboy took her to the truck and quickly drove her to the hospital. I made it there with Jug and Sweetpea not long after. They took her back into surgery and we were all in the waiting room. Jug was pacing around the room "Jug! Calm down, she will be okay" J-"How do you know that dad!?" Then a doctor came out D-"Anyone for Elizabeth Cooper?"
