Part 23 - School

Betty's POV
boy today's gonna be fun
Everyone got their schedules at the front table and we all compared as we started to our first class. My schedule consisted of ,
1st - Algebra 3
2nd - World Civilization
3rd - Biology 2
4th - Study Hall
Lunch
5th - English ap
6th - Spanish 2
7th - Finance
Me and jug had every class together while I just shared a couple classes with all my other friends. I had Fangs in first period, toni and sweetpea in second, a couple other serpents in bio, just me and jug in study, all of us ended up having lunch together, me jug sweetpea toni and fangs all have english and then just me and jug have finance. It's weird how i am younger than all of them and in a younger grade than them but i have them in a lot of my classes.

After looking over our schedules and comparing with others we went to our lockers. To put away the things we didn't need and take only a few notebooks for our first few classes.  Because we had to make a few stops at the entrance of school and our lockers we were a little late to class. Me, Jug, and Fangs made it to the Algebra classroom and walked in. M.R(Mr. Russ) - " Goodmorning! You must be the southside students!" He stated with a bit to much enthusiasm in his voice. J- "Yep that's us..." jug replied with a monotone voice. M.R-" Why dont you all come up to the front of the class and introduce yourselves" Jug and Fangs walk up to the front of the class while I find an empty seat and sit down. As if everyone doesn't know me already.

J-" I'm jughead jones, i'm 16 years old, and my dad is the leader of the serpents" he stated. After he told about Fp he got the attention of everyone in the class who was looking at me prior to it. They act like it's a big deal or something. F-" Hey i'm fangs I'm also a serpent and I do football" he says blandly M.R-" Mrs. Cooper -" I cut him off real quick "Smith, My last name is Smith" Yes i recently got it changed not wanted to be associated with my mother in any way at all. M.R-" Sorry Mrs. SMITH come up and introduce yourself" He says emphasizing my last name. I walk up to the front of the class where jug and fangs are "Im betty as you all already know and that's about it" I say with no expression as we walk to the back of the class where our seats are.

Everyone follows us with their eyes as we make our way to the back. I sit down with jug and fangs on either side of me and put my feet up on my desk. I shoot death glares at anyone who's staring at me and that makes them look away real fast. The class continues on and eventually the bell rings signaling us to move on to next period.

time skip ( to lunch )

Me and jug head to the lunch room as soon as 4th period is over. It's been the same routine in every class, walk in get stared at, introduce ourselves, give death stares, go along with class. Kinda boring I know right. As we walk into the cafeteria all heads turn to us right as we set foot in the room.

I immediately make eye contact with some of the serpents and go over to their table with jug right behind me. We sit down not bothering to make contact with any of the preppy rich kids that go to this school. T-"Hey guys how has your first day been" Toni asks while stuffing her face with food. J-"Mines been fine kinda repetitive though" He finishes while grabbing food off someone else's plate B-"Same here. Everyone here acts like i'm some alien from outer space or something like what the heck"I state while looking around to see all the people giving me stares. Soon after I see someone out of the corner of my eye walking up to our table. They obviously don't have a serpent jacket on so the only thing i could think would be the one and only riverdale preps

Jughead's POV
Two of the kids that were at the front table this morning are walking up to our table I guess to see betty. ?-"Hey Bet" Who's bet? Betty turns around and straight away says B-"Hey veronica sorry but we really aren't friends anymore so you can call me Elizabeth or Betty thanks" She responda with a soft smile V-"Oh sorry" She says with a sad look on her face. B-"It was nice to see you veronica and you to kevin have a nice life" She says softly and turns back to face our table. They stand there and stare at her for a few seconds before Veronica I guess turns around and grabs the other kids hand and drags him back to their table.

We continue eating our lunch and talking among ourselves until we get another visitor to our table. I slightly turn to the side and see the one and only Chuck Clayton. You know that football player that betts knocked out that one time at the river. That was a proud moment for me considering I'm the one training her to fight. Before he reaches our table I stand up and get in his face. When I move betty gets up to see what's happening She come up beside me and puts her hand on my chest signaling me to back off. I know where this is about to go.
