A/N: I know its been a while. I recently collected my English results which I passed. I didn't think I would but I'm glad I don't have to sit that again. I am now learning to drive and I need to sit my Theory test soon which is going to be fun. CHERYLS POV
It has been a couple weeks since I found out I was pregnant and ever since Toni has been as clingy as ever. Don't get me wrong I love that but our friends are now getting suspicious and they know something is going on. Toni and I were at home while the kids are at school. "Babe, I need to talk to you about something" I said to her. "You aren't breaking up with me are you?" She asked while smiling. "Nope and we would have to get a divorce, anyway since we found out I was pregnant you have been very clingy" Her facial expression changed. "So you're saying that you don't want me around" She asked slightly angry. "No Toni- thats not what I meant" "I know exactly what you meant Cheryl. You don't want to be with me 24/7. I'm sorry I only what to care for you and the baby but it turns out you don't want that" She got up and stormed out the house. "Fuck sake" I sat and thought about how I could've told her in a different way so she wouldn't have gotten confused. Before I knew it it was 3 o'clock and I had to pick the kids up from school. I got in my car and travelled to the school. I got out of the car and picked my phone up while walking to the school gates. I dialled Sweet Peas number.
Pea: Hey Red, whats up?
Me: Hi, I was wondering if you and V could look after the kids for a while this afternoon
Pea: Ronnie is at work but I would be happy to, but do you mind me asking why? You normally ask us a week in advance
Me: I need to find Toni, we had a little argument earlier and she stormed off, well it wasn't an argument more a misunderstanding.
Pea: What about?
Me: I can't tell you for a little while but Toni and I will soon
Pea: Okay, I'm on my way to Thistlehouse now and ill meet you there shortly.
Me: Thanks Pea, this means alot.
Pea: No problem, I gotta take care of you when you are with child
Me: Hang on, what? How did you know?
Pea: Just took a wild guess
Me: Okay, don't tell anyone. We are waiting until we are out of the danger zone
Pea: Got it. Speak later Red.
He put the phone down and the kids came out of the gates running into my arms. "Hey kids" I giggled. As we were walking back to the car, I was stopped by another mom. "Excuse me, can I have a word?" This woman said. "Erm who are you?" I asked. "I am the mother of Winston Robbins" I began thinking back to a conversation I had with Roxy. I bent down to her. "Rox, is this the boy who bullied you because me and momma are lesbians?" She nodded her head. "Right, Kids get in the car" They did as they were told. "I was told by my son that Alfie and Roxy have two moms, I thought he meant you know a mom and a step mom but no he said you were lesbians. Do you think its wise to show kids that kind of way of life?" "Excuse me? You may live way back in the 1900's because being gay is legal. I love my wife and my kids. Nothing will change that. Not somebody who believe in the complete opposite of what I do or my parents for that matter. Now teaching your child that being gay is deviant, is wrong. I got that from my parents and look how I turned out. He learns so much from you that he bullied other kids because of the ways their parents choose to live their lives. Now I suggest you go home and sort your homophobic mind out and talk to your son and tell him that he should support LGBTQ+ community. If you don't feel that is right I can't force you but please tell your son to leave my kids alone." I got in the car and started driving back home. "You okay kids?" I asked them. "Yeah, we're sorry mommy" Alfie said. "What have you got to be sorry about?" "Winston just bullied us for it and you get bullied by his mom" Roxy said. "I don't mind me getting bullied, its when somebody does it to my kids. I want to tell this Winston something but if I do then I will more than likely go to prison so thats not gonna happen and the words I would've used would never be repeated again." "No no words mommy?" Alfie asked. I nodded and giggled.
