"Oh did I do?" I said as the young human cried. They had be crying for about 5 minutes or so. "It's gonna be okay." I say patting her head gently. They were still crying all I want to do is make them feel better. "I want my Mom." They said wiping some of their tears from their small face. "I know sweetie but you will have to wait." I said feeling horrible. The sad expression on their face was killing me. "I'm sure that she'll be back any minute now." I said and they looked up to me. "Promise?" They asked still a bit teary eyed. I would be lying if I said yes but I need to calm them down. "Promise." I lied smiling at them they smiled back weakly.
They had stopped crying and were now sleeping in my lap. They are so cute. But I hate that I had to lie to them. I'm sure it's going to be fine. I mean it was just a little white lie.
