You soon woke up but chose to stay where you were, not even opening your eyes and just resting against the others chest, listening to his heartbeat as he hummed softly and gently dragged his fingers through your hair which of course felt nice, you then felt him press a soft kiss to your forehead which earned a slight blush as well as a giggle from you at which point He pulled back "o-oh you're awake!" He said, sitting up slightly as you gripped onto his shirt "no I'm not, please do continue" you said, earning a sheepish chuckle from the large male before there was a knock at the door, seeming to surprise you both, Splendy stood quickly and hurried into a bedroom, setting you down on the bed and drawing the curtains which made the room quite dark "what are y-" you were interrupted by him shushing you "stay here for a little while, I'll explain when they leave" he sort of whisper shouted before leaving the room, closing the door quickly as you heard him gasp softly "oh! I see you've let yourself in!" He said, a monotone voice replied "what's in the room?" Splendy imeadiatly blurted out "nothing!" Making it quite obvious that he was hiding something he changed the subject then "what are you here for? I know I forgot your birthday cake yesterday bu-" he was cut off "the big guy wanted me to check on you, you haven't been outside all day and everyone is kinda worried...i get the sneaking suspicion it has to do with whatever you're hiding in that room" the monotone voice stated "what do you mean hiding Pffft I'm no-no-not hiding anything!" Splendy responded, the anxiety obvious in his voice "if you really aren't hiding anything, let me into the room" with that you moved under the bed, forcing yourself into a corner and moving some of the clutter in front of yourself, successfully blocking yourself from view "I can't...well...um...its...you see...theres..." Splendy sputtered before letting out a defeated "okay..." You watched through a small sliver of space between what seemed to be hat boxes as the door creaked open and a set of blue jean-clad legs stepped into the room, followed by splendor who seemed to be poised to strike at the other but before he could he took note of your absence and his posture relaxed, you heard him clear his throat "see...nothing" he mumbled before the blue jean-wearing stranger started to look about the room, eventually ducking to look under the bed, giving you a straight view of a ghost white mask with dark empty sockets and black lips, he scanned the cluttered area and eventually stood, having not noticed you "alright..." He headed towards the door with Splendy following him, their voices becoming muffled as the door was closed "you still owe me a birthday cake big guy" was the last line you heard before the front door was opened and closed again and unfolded yourself from your cramped hiding place right as Splendy walked into the room "thank you y/n I really didn't want to have to do anything to him...theyd notice him missing anyway" Splendy said you hummed popping your neck "thats no problem, who was that anyw-...wait missing??" You questioned "just...pretend I didnt say that...um anyway that was Masky, he comes by sometimes" you nodded, sitting on the edge of the bed "why didn't you want him to see me?" You asked "oh um because he'd run and tell...well someone...and that someone wouldn't be too happy" Splendy stated, sitting on the floor directly across from you so that you were eye level "I take it people out here don't take too kindly to 'city people' hm?" Splendy shrugged "guess it kinda depends on the person really, you, you're stable...stable, harmless, and capable of speaking, so they dont want you out here...they think you're going to run back home and tell the police and all of your friends about us...about me" he mumbled "so they're protecting you?" You questioned "in a way I guess so..." He replied, seeming to be lost in thought
